Hey m8. Welcome to the community. Here, check this site out: http://www.airwarfare.com/sturmovik_101/faq_index.htm#1001 This site may help you and answer some of your questions. I can tell you that starting with PF is a steep learning curve to start learning this game. You should consider investing in th original IL-2 Sturmovik. It's several years old and is relatively cheap. If you want to get up to speed with the rset of the bunch here, pick up Forgotten Battles and AEP and do a merged install with PF. Good luck.

Well that certainly is one school of thought. Personally I would say, get the full merged install and jump right in. If you plan to fly online, (the only real way) imho, then look around for a friendly Squadron willing to teach. There are many great pilots out there willing to help. My advice would be to avoid the kiddie settings and play as close to Full Real as you can. I realize this is not for everyone, but if you are interested in serious simming, its the only way to go. Again, the best way to learn is from others, so check out the Squadrons Forum and you will find many great squads, Friends of the 13th Hellenic Squadron include JG6 @ http://www.jg6.net/ Oddball is the Commander and a stand up guy.

You're getting good help, but I just had to point out this was one he-l-l of a sentence.
