since the patch this plane has auto prop pitch. but what is it good for ? as i understood it the auto prop pitch is a feature to ensure you always run optimal rpm which for the 109e according to manual is 2000rpm cruising. however the auto pitch drops and rises but never stays even around the 2000rpm. i am a novice flyer and have not much experience with other aircraft. should i bother at all with auto pitch and if so why ?

auto pitch allows you to keep your mind (and hands) more focused on the target. at least in the 1.0 version the 109 E was very sensitive to pitch and often over-revved. so you might be able to get a bit more performance on manual, but if you don't know what your doin' then the advantage will be gone and your engine will be hurt.
