Megile speaks truth. Too much of any chemical really can kill you.

Snow,if it's on a day where the ground temp. melts it on the roads. In TX that's the way it usually is,(unless we have a rare long-lingering cold front).

First off, lets make my response simple....As said above by others, too much of anything will kill you. Too much flour and frankly due to the low nutritional value (white flour) you starve to death "full", or you put on so much weight it does, or you clog your arteries over time...Or you cause various other organs to shut down including your stomache in the case of antacids or they over compensate....and all in time, you're a gonner.

Naturally many "powders" when airborn can generate massive explosions, this goes for flour, talcum, etc.. Hence again, potential killers.

In kind there is also the possibility of "suffocation"....Now you could take that to a rediculous extreme of being buried alive (someone mention snow? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif), however that would also go for simply airborn particles as once they become dense enough or have filled the lungs enough...Well, adios amigo.

So keep at it...So far we have;

Talcum
Baking Soda
Powdered Sugar
Tatar
Powder the character (lightning rod boy can kill or cure)
Calcium Carbonate
Snow
Flour

any others before I begin disputing these?

Salt (sodium chloride) is actually a fairly nasty substance.
Several other salts (like sodium bi-sulfie) and others are white and bad news as well). My personal one would be barium bi-chloride.

Arsenic is white and powdery in dry form too.

I may be wrong, and will be happy to be corrected.

But IIRC, Heroin was shown to have no long term physical effects on the body, when used in pure form.
The deaths from overdoses are not caused by anything particular to heroin itself, but the strong sedative effect leading to the person stop breathing.

Not supporting it's use however, outside medicinal purposes ofc.
