To give it its full title:

The IL-2 Community Created Manual

Based on an idea by Blacklion and suggestions from II./JG2_Oesau the IL2CCM is intended to be a full and comprehensive online manual for IL2,FB and PF.

It is intended to cover all aspects of installation, patching, mission building, skinning etc as well as comprehensive guides on flying, tactics, on and offline gaming.

This manual can be edited by any member of the community, making this a manual that will never be out of date!

Some content is already available to view:
Main page (http://airwarfare.com/mediawiki-1.4.5/index.php?title=Main_Page)
Community links (http://airwarfare.com/mediawiki-1.4.5/index.php?title=IL-2_Community_Links)
FAQ (http://airwarfare.com/mediawiki-1.4.5/index.php?title=FAQ_Introduction)

WANTED: Mission Builders and Skinners articles

If you are interested in submitting material to the guide or wish to learn more about the guide please visit us in the IL2CCM Forum (http://airwarfare.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=19) or il2ccm@airwarfare.com

The guide will also cover the use of Third party Applications. CrazySchmidt has already offered to add a guide on using his Mission mate Utility. I'm sure many other developers will follow.

In a shameles act of self promotion I've taken the liberty of making this a sticky. hope no-one objects http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Very Nice, Mate.

The Airwarfare site is tops with me . . . Always good when a mod contributes to a forum in more ways than just swinging the ban-hammer http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Thanks,
Tsisqua

Thanks guys for your interest, things are coming along quite quickly. We have had several contributions to the manual already, most add worthwhile content while one submission from a gimp in Russia pedalling 'horizontal performance enhancing pills' was not at all welcome http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif may a plague of fleas infest his underwear......

What brilliant idea! I only joined yesterday and can as yet barely find my own backside with the help of a mirror, so I'm afraid I will be no assistance for approximately 4 years. If you're stuck on anything then I'll be pleased to help. Good luck and thanks.

Since I was caught in the last Ice Age, I just have thawed out enough for me to begin to play IL-2 now. Downloaded the demo yesterday just to make sure it was running on my old rig and I have succeeded in lots of in-game crashing.

Really exciting game and as I understand it, a game with a lot of fan-base resources. I will now return to crash-a-lot, a little better equipped now that I've found some brilliant advice on these forums. Cheers!

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif The best thing with the wikis is how much we will laugh when someone in particular writes about the P-38 (let's be more specific, the late one), and then someone else edits over it.

You have seen Mike's (michapma's) work on this, haven't you? It's really good, perhaps you could cooperate?
