Post your ideas on what Jerusalem will be like at E3. I think jerusalem will be like it was in kingdom of heaven, with muslims and christian citizens walking about doing their buisness and crusaders/knights of christ being the guards. The buildings will be middle eastern with a slight european look. This is just MY (or KOH's idea). post what u think Jerusalem will be like

u can also speak your opinion about damascus

scrub the crusaders its in muslim hands

think of it like KoH but inverted

lots of saracen guards wondering around mostly muslim populations, with a few very brave christians wondering around, most of which were slaves

if we are talking about today times
you have the old city and the new parts around it
and in the old city there are 4 quarters of different religion and basically each one of them has a different type of construction

Okay...okay... I'm a little biased, but hey... come on!
All cities are just amazing and specific... but Damascus and Jeru which are both influenced by the arabic architecture

the quartering into religeous areas hasnt happened yet (well apart from the jewery to the north of al-asqua)

so most of the important buildings (churchs not included) will be arabic design, small and newer structures would have a blended european look from the time's the crusaders have held it

after all jerusalem held the greatest examples of 7th/8th century moorish architecture in the world until israel bulldozed them

be as biased as you want jn, historic arabic architecture is way more astetically pleasing then the stone/wood boxes europeans were building by comparrison

damascus should be a totally untouched arabic design with a river flowing against the northern wall(could only find 4th century plans for damascus so it(the city) may have overflowed to incorporate the river within the city walls)

but we cant forget acre, the huge sea walls arching out with a light house all over shadowed by the hospitalers fortress built to imtimidate the harbour

jerusalem is the largest and most impressive of the 3

9 large churches, a chapel, the royal palace, 7 gates in and out the tower of david all over shadowed by temple mount and the great mosque dominating the city, not to mention the crowded strrets bustling markets on the street of vegetables(centre of the city)

(yes i probabily will spend the first few hours sight seeing rather then killing people lol i like history and architecture so bite me :P)

^_^

had to watch the new dev diary twice jade kept getting in the way of the scenery (just kidding)

1:05 is masayef (dam it looks great, better then the concept art hinted)

1:15 it switches to sandstone buildings distinctive arched windows and structures (the dome on top of the tower, the arches instead of squar joints) with the elaborate latice work and the dusty streets .. thats so gotta be damascus (finally a glimpse of the muslim lands)

the rest pretty much seems to be acre (except for a concept shot of battlements), i did think the garden may have been the royal palace (jerusalem) but then i noticed the shape of the fortress and the penants shows its the hospitaliar, id say the fortress on the harbour of acre

come on jn you gotta tell me is there any jerusalem shots im missing? the rest looks to heavily european, or they(crusaders) changed jerusalem a lot more then i thought when they held it

great as in huge sillyboy, the dome of the rock is a) huge, massive, great and b) a mosque i believe ....

so what are you trying to correct?

the fact i used a descriptive term to show how truley awesome it is rather then using the name?

and by that wall do you mean the wailing wall? yes muhamed teathered his horse to it acording to islamic tradition

i hope theres some crazy dude(s) in every town, that develop as you go on. Like some old geezer sitting in the middle of a dusty sandy street with a stick who tells you not to scare away the fish, you can kill him or give him money, if you give him money youll return to find he bought a boat and now sits there all day in a boat "fishing" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hey NoobFun,

Okay, here we go:
The Ubidays demo only shows Acre and Damascus, no Jerusalem but for the Dome of Rock. Small bits of the Kingdom as well.

The diary only shows Acre and a tiny bit of Damascus, plus Montrealhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That's all I can reveal for now....

Jerusalem is coming soon http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

its a double post i know but hey ^_^

jn all i can say is wow!! no wonder you kept tight lipped

i watched the new ingame footage and my mind was racing trying to figure out where you were (the city and the location)

obvious first thought on a church acre or jeru, oo i know that dome jeru, wait theres only 1 enterance the maps ive seen showed 2, great mosque in damascus??, no citys the wrong shape and it doesnt look right, well city curves to the right of the dome its gotta be north west jeru, wait 2 gates 1 to the side 1 to the rear? that doesnt make sense, oo its an internal dividing wall, thats gotta be jehosaphats gate so he's heading for the jewery, no wait the corner of the walls there, this is the top corner, the jewerys over to the east more

fight scene

roof top running

oo that looks like the covered street, there should be a turn here from the street of bad cooking, yepp, wait it cant be its the other side of the city, ok now im confused, well theres more then 1 street with a roof it just looks similar

then i rembered an old saying the map isnt the terrain, its going to be different to the map it only shows the major streets, and buildings are blocking buildings so your not gonna see every landmark, and its in glorious 3D

so i watched it again and just enjoyed it ^_^

the start is the church of st anne next to the gate of jehosaphat beyond that im totally lost. lost but totally loving it

then i watched the interview .. first words out of jades mouth your heading for the rich area in jerusalem ... least i know where it is though now ^_^

##edit: found a screenie showing the view of the dome from the start point from a better angle theres a building in the middle of the opening so thats why theres 1 large opening and 2 roads in ..... ok so the map i found aint fantastic :P

Just wait for Zgubilici to come in, she'll get it for you.

If you're impatient, go to the first post click the 'Edit My Post' button, and right next to the 'Post Now' button there should be a blue link which reads 'Delete Message...?'. Click on that and it should delete it. Not sure if you can delete threads though...
