I am looking forward to this. It is due in September?

I don't have any experience with the company that is providing it, though.

I have two of their downloads. The Last Days and Fall Blau. I'd give them an excellent overall! Lot's of diffrent missions I haven't become bored yet. No problems! Semper Fi, MudMarine

TLD and Fall Blau are expansions by X1 software - PlusWave is a different group entirely.

Also, I have a feeling that although TLD and Fall Blau are both X1 packs, they were developed by different people.

Anyway, the X1 expansions (aside from Banzai) are quite good - and although I haven't got ahold of any of the expansions that Pluswave has released, they look promising.

The whole "fictional" stick any plane any time anywhere is not a big hit with me. Different strokes for different people, I guess.

Hi,

I made Rebirth of Honor and Wings over Waves and I'm still working on Wings over Jungles.

If you want any info about the quality of Rebirth of Honor you could take a look into the german forums.
http://www.sturmovik.de/board/index.php?board=6.0
or
http://forums-de.ubi.com/eve/ubb.x?a=frm&s=59010161&f=388104122

Search for 'Rebirth of Honor' and 'Aufstand der Ehre' (German title of ROH)

When you don't understand german, post a question about it in english there.

Until now, ROH was only sold in Germany and only very few people from other countries know of it or played it.

Next week, Wings over Waves is ready for shipment.
Wings over Jungles, the 2nd part of the Wings over... Series will come end September /October.

Pluswave,
Is there going to be an easier way to purchase your products? By this I mean for those
who do not use Euros as a form of currency or do not like paypal. I have read the instuctions posted at your online shop. I know for some companies it is not cost effective to change currency. I just think your sales could increase
if other methods are used. At least by one. LOL
The only examples I can use are from Just Flight and (X1) Matrix Games. Thank you all for keeping Il2FB+AEP+PF alive and well. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I second that. I was one of those waiting for ROH to be released in the USA, and a week before it was about to come out, the deal with the publisher (I guess) fell through. I was so disappointed. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Now it seems that there will be two more products, WOW and WOJ, that I can't get here in the States anytime soon because Pluswave does not have a US publisher. Can Matrix Games somehow pick these products up too ?

Well having no experience with this group it off hand looks to me like a PF add on. That in itself is fine, lot of missions that all could be fun so possibly worth it......However....

Imperial Japanese Navy Never...ever...had Ki-61 or Ki-43....That based on the screen shots and telling me right off (which the maker does as well) that there is nothing historical about this. That even down to the 244th tail markings on the Hien, that unit a Japanese Home defense unit and not flying over any Jungle or even out of Japan that I'm aware of.

So possible fun?...Sure, a good fight is always fun........However, if you're looking for a historical recreation of say Papua New Guinea/Rabaul.......Then keep looking.

Determine what your goal is (and good fun interesting simgle missions/campaigns historical or not can be a blast)...and if this suits your goal, have at it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif....

One is Rebirth of Honor the other is Wings over waves ( 24 missions each)...

Hi LEBillfish,

I know that the japanese Navy ever had Ki-61s and -43s.
They're in fact no navy- planes but army air force planes.

I've put missions with the Ki-61 into the demo to give you a small insight of what the second Wings over..- addon will be about: Wings over Jungles.

First I wanted to build only one demo for both addons. Then during building the demo I decided to build a special demo for WOJ later too.
But then many of the Ki-61 missions were just ready and I let them in the demo pack.

So, it's only a demo.
In Wings over Waves you don't fly Ki-61s.
But at some places the US Navy will meet IJAAF- Ki-61s in WOW.

Hi again,

about the distribution to the USA:
I'll be away for two weeks now- holidays- finally.

When I'm back I will try to build up a 'Pay for Download' system.
But it will take a while.

I will try to find a publisher for the USA in the future but until the quality of my work isn't so well known in the English speaking community.
That makes it not easy to find a publisher.

Hi, is there time to run the mission briefings through a spell-check before final release?
I know I'm being picky but Wings Over Waves could have used some attention in this department. Apart from that it looks great. Well done http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif.

This is my first post but I thought the develper Plus wave deserved some praise.....

I've just purchased Wings Over Jungles, and it is SUPERB. Highly recommended.

This is the first really good campaign set I've played and I've tried them all - including fan developed (a few were quite good) and third party pay products (generally bad).

Its very very immersive, great attention to object detail (airports are especially good), good skins, enjoyable campaign setting, variety, and flying times without action in most campaigns are minimised (but they still feel realistic - a good balance between historical accuracy and this gamer's desire for action and dogfighting).

Also, a very real bonus is that you can have very large battles without major hits in performance, unlike every other third party ones I have tried, as well as the IL2 campaign generator. I'm not sure how this was accomplished, but it is a real design achievement probably aided by hard work and careful testing.

Finally offline campaign playing in IL2 has achieved its potential, which it never did over the past 3 years I have been playing. It reminds me of Red Baron in as much that I actually like campaigns rather than avoid them.

I'm now going to buy WOW and ROH, and anything else this developer produces in the in the future.

That's odd: that's the centerpoint of the IL-2 system. There is very little guidance for maintaining historical planesets within maps or time periods, and complete anarchy online in this respect. A main reason why flying from HyperLobby can be so frustrating. "P-38s over Kursk" gets real stupid real quick.

Hello all,
It has been a while since this thread
was written. Pluswave has not made a download system yet. I have found another site that should accept $$$, Euros, and British Pounds. It is
Flying Ledgends (http://flying-legends.net/store/products_new.php?osCsid=d14c719954fb63f5dc82ac3818 d23684) I have not purchased it yet, mabey in Febuary. They report to have the three
add ons by( PWX) ROH, WOW, and WOJ. I also await a US publisher, but who knows when that will be. The other title I awit for is Ostfront, published by X1. It does not look like Matrix Games will offer that like the others. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

So alas, I
must contend with my other six add ons. BOE,COE,
TLD,Case Blue(Fall Blau), Banzai and Operation Barbarossa. On my mabey list is Operation Overloard, and Aces campaign. My sqaudron does a lot of COOPS and DF mission so I do share http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Stop bye and visit us at Aces High Virtual Fighter Squadron (http://aceshigh.ws/run2/) If you have questions about the add ons I own. _AH_BlueKestral on Hyperlobby.

Hello BlueKestrel,

we're still working on a download system.
We had one but it made so many problems that we now ordered the 3rd team to make an entirely new system with another technical approach.

It sounds so simple but when you test it you see the difficulties.
I'm sorry but all I can say is that I still really want this thing to run but it's not as easy as expected.

Greets,

Morning all.
I want to thank Pluswave for responding to my post. In no way was my comment
meant to detract from your sales. I'm glad that
you are working on a download system. Best of luck with the new team.

Major Setback,
Thanks for the link. I did not see
Wedge78's comment about this site. Only that Wedge had purchased it. I did go through checking out Flying Ledgends and in the end it states "Payment Method

This is currently the only payment method available to use on this order.
PayPal" . I just saw the logos Paypal Visa and Mastercard. Thank you again.

I would like anyone who has experience purchasing from Simware Simulations, and who is not from Europe to leave a post. It's a new site and company for me. How long did it take to get from Brussels, Belgium to the US or Canada? Does anybody have a link to order Ostfront, besides Amazon.de? Sorry if I should have written a new post. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I bought WOJ from Pluswave using Paypal. Arrived very quickly from Germany (wife thought it was a porno DVD until I put her straight, anyway I get them from Sweden)

WOJ is excellent, very immersive and great fun, very impressed with it.

I purchased WoW from Flying Legends through PayPal with no problems what so ever. WOW came in a DVD case with a very nice color jacket and insert (well done PlusWave!) I am glad I have the physical copy instead of waiting for the download version. I highly recommend ordering a physical copy from Flying Legends or PlusWave - you will not be disapointed. \

Right now I am on mission # 41 (CatBall) of WOW. I thought I was addicted to FB/AEP/PF before purchasing WOW now I know the true definition of addiction - I cant stop playing and cant wait to finish the current campaign to start a new one.

I've purchased 'Wings over Waves' and i'm loving it.
The details he's managed to include without hitting the framerates too hard is astounding. I really like the storyline he's created with the Cat Ball campaign, it's quite entertaining.
It's not historically accurate in later phases but he explains well why he's chosen that path. I don't think he stretches the boundaries of credulity so much that it makes the missions absurd- the matchup of planes is appropriate for the times. The numbers the sides are able to bring to the fight are what he's changed.
I agree with his rationale as stated on his website- it makes for a more interesting campaign rather than just a war of attrition.
This sort of campaign is what's been missing from the whole Il2 series IMHO.
