I would differ as well, but....that site has VERY generic information about most aircraft and I wouldn't be too offended about it...though I would differ with them too.

They should probably list the speed record that the 109 set sometime in 1939 or thereabouts.

For the Zero...

* The Zero was the first shipboard fighter capable of defeating its land-based opponents, and was used as the first suicide attack aircraft.

Anyone else think this is wrong on both counts?

OMG and for the Spitfire...

No known major achievements

To paraphrase -- Close the website and never open it again!

Very generic info, but some nice pictures though, including a very nice F-101 shot from the air.

F-100 Achievments
* The F-100 was the USAF's first operational aircraft capable of flying faster than 760 mph in level flight.
Its faster than 759mph. I guess they meant to say USAF first operational supersonic aircraft, like this...

MiG-19::
The MiG-19 Farmer was the first supersonic fighter built in the USSR.
They don't say where "Farmer" comes from. No matter, 760mph is faster than the Luftwaffe, and that is what counts on the internet.

Want to have Fun. Advance Google search for faster than the Luftwaffe and see what turns up. hehe !! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

They seem to know very little about aircraft so I don't understand why they are in the aircraft website business. I mean to list the 109 generically as if there was only one model of the plane....geesh!! By the specs, the performance and engine seems to indicate an early Gustav. This website has no known http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif major achievements...lol
