I don't believe that there is a way to do this. If you are already with MS Flight Simulations, then forget everything that you ever knew, and invest in a decent joystick, Mate. BTW, which version of the game do you own? Not that it would make the answer any different, I'm just being nosy. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

What Tsisqua said.

Even a cheap $15 j/s would be worlds better than the mouse. Tactile feel aside (which is a big part anyway), you need a control with a definite center that returns there on it's own, and which has absolute maximums of travel. A mouse has none of these. It's too easy to get lost, or overcontrol, or just plain poorly control, the plane with something like that (a mouse).

I have the original Il-2.

I dunno, I played many flight sims and I feel pretty comfortable using the mouse. I borrowed a decent joystick from a friend before and I hated it. I felt that I had less control over the plane than with the mouse. The mouse is just so effortless, you just point where you want the plane to go without wrestling with the joystick.

And thats a thruth, joystick has no precision at all if compared to a mouse which is superior way to control a game on pc sitting on a desk.
I made my mouse work as controller with program that emulates a joy with mouse. I gave up because view remains controled with mouse together with movement. I didnt know how to turn mouselook off. Othervise mouse control is great, i use it in battlefield1942 and it is way beyond joystick in terms of precision. In il2 i use x45 for the full feel of playing and so should you (use joystick). Or try via search, you will find it.
