Official or not, it's nice to see something about BoB after the long drought.

Great dynamic reflection panels. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif I wish more FB cockpits had the real dynamic reflections that shine bright.

But...don't ruin the cockpits by making the glass dirty or dark tinted. Don't come between simmer and sim by screwing with vision.

The old fashioned fake static or Flight Sim canopy "reflections" require darkened and dirty canopies so the "reflections" show up, and flight simmers must ask for Windex. Pure Artists -- Pay Attention please. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Please, no fake Static "reflections" needing heavily dark glass or Dirt Modelling http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif only dynamic *bright* reflections like Bf-110, Fw-190 and I-16 glass in FB.

Oh dear... Please give me a Lancaster with those graphics. I'll pay. A lot. I don't mind.

Ju88's where part of the BoB, especially in anti-shipping attacks. There are unmissable in a BoB sim. The cockpit is fabulous-just another hint of the so many hints already that this game will be amazing.

I hate to nitpick, but I don't think the game will actually support reflection on the panels.

What I can see in the shot is simply specular highlight (shine), like is present in IL-2.

If the windows reflect anything in the cockpit, it would probably be a texture ('dirt' on window), or environment map (like shiny planes in CFS3).

Yes! That's what I meant -- the canopy panels shining bright depending on orientation with respect to the FB sun. I love this so much.

Any aircraft trying to create false static "reflections" or "model glass" requiring fake dark tinted or hazy canopies I do not fly. Try the P-51. Switch between external view and cockpit view quickly and see how much outside environmental light is blocked -- possibly 50% which is a disaster for night operations. BoB+ Ju-88s will be used at night at least in later additions to BoB And Beyond, so BoB canopies need to move beyond the "flight sim" dirty glass method of "modelling glass."

This screenshot shows only the quality of the model, not the graphics engine.
It is taken in the IL-2 engine developer's model viewer.
So, things, connected to various visual effects, like reflections, self shadowing, etc. - are not shown here.

WOW!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

I'll pay money to see more interior shots of other aircraft ... like ME108, 109E, 110, He111, Spit, Hurricane, Defiant etc etc

Send a message to the developers .. don't compromise on quality because you want the game to run on average machines .... simmers will buy the best machines to run the ultimate SIM!

Alright! Lysander is one neat bird and rarely modeled. I have information on the instrument panel if they want to make it flyable.

I certainly will be, pedals, track IR, throttle quadrant, new joystick, new system, large screen LCD monitor. Anything less and the game'd be wasted on it.

I downloaded the video but it was nothing but a black screen and I got several intrusion attempt warnings from my firewall. It also locked up mediaplayer....

I had problems until I did as I was exactly directed.I right clicked on the underlined line & saved it in my "Movies "Folder in my hard drive. Then I went to the folder double clicked on the correct file/track & it took a while but eventually up poped the track that shows all the features of the WIP Spitfire BoB cockpit...it is amazing!!!

The Bolton Defiant would be an awesome plane to fly!
It'd be like flying a slow hurricane, but you can always jump into the turret and get those little buggers off the tail.
Hopefully they fair better under my control than they did for the RAF.
Those things had a habit of dropping like flies.
I guess it's hard when you're flying an underpowered over-weighted plane against a 109 or a 190.

WOW!!!!!! I just downloaded that clip of the Spit's cockpit. WOW!!!!!!
I'm drooling at the prospect of Track IR and 6DOF.

The problem with the Defiant is that it has no forward firing weapons - it has to rely solely on its turret!

Not, if you have one of FB's AI supergunners.

If the AI gunnery is so supernatural as in the present FB/PF, Defiants are going to kick a$$, only compensated for firing FB's .303 rattle boxes.

And still there will be guys saying that's historically correct. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif
