First let me say thanks to Michampa and all the others for the much needed help offered up in the P40 post yesterday. I really appreciate the support and help. Also, I hope you all let me apologize for my uncalled for ranting in that now deleted post. I'm glad it was deleted, I'm embarassed for the way I spoke to Ed and Sniper, and I apologize to them both. I don't think any of the inadvertant flaming in this forum is meant to be personal, and I'm sorry for taking it that way. Nobody OWES anyone help or tips on this game...it is all done in good faith, and with helpful intentions. Let me just say I really admire the people who have mastered this game (I go online sometimes just to watch some of you guys fly, in awe!), and I appreciate any help given to me here. Really, if you think about it, its pretty amazing how people from all around the world converge in this forum to talk about a flight sim, and although we don't know each other, and probably will never meet, for the most part treat each other with respect and good intentions. I think its great, and I apologize for taking things personal and resorting to childish namecalling.

Takes big round balls to say sorry online. Nice one.

BTW I was told to inform you that you have big flappy feet and you fly like a crippled duck/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Don't worry about it Zipppie. My response to you was not constructive, and I hope I have managed to remedy this with my PMs. I'm probably not always the best person to ask (I often spin whilst online.) We do owe you something- everyone on this forum has had to learn how to play, and it is only fair that we offer help to people new to the game. I guess that sometimes, for all of us, it can be hard to remember that we are talking to other people, not a machine, and so some flaming, which would never happen face-to-face, is inevitable when talking to people we will probably never meet.
Oh well, Zipppie, consider yourself fortunate- at least this is not the Americas Army Forum. I have never made a single post on it- every thing you say is flamed.
Sorry again, and I admire your apology.

Just to set the record straight, Ed came to me via PM and apologized first. It takes a big person to read the abuse I layed on him yesterday, and then go to me privately and apologize. He's quite a guy, and if anyone has balls its him!

I read the post last night....and yeah I probably would have thought the same way. So at least your human Zippie.
But both of you (Ed and Zippie) rose above the situation. That's commendable. I'm kind of glad I 'witnessed' it. It gets a bit disheartening to see some of the flaming that goes on in ALL forums.
We all like this simulation, and our ferver sometimes boils over. But seeing last nights post, coupled with todays outcome makes me glad I still come here. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Hey Zip, as to your comment about going online to just watch people fly, thats exactly what I did at first. I stayed in spectate mode after I would crash or(usually) get shot down and just watch all the different planes and how the guys used them. Its pretty impressive sometimes and I find myself getting lost in time just watching. I learned alot too. Playing against AI offline can only get you used to how the game functions but its a whole other world when you go online in these things for the first time.

I never got to see the arguement you guys had and thats just fine, but I'm happy for you all at how you ended it. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

You can tell what will happen. The marriage won't work out but the bestman and the bridesmaid will get together /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif
