Production of the Ki84 B began with or after the 3001 production model. So considering their were about 3500 Ki-84s produced, a few hundred were inevitably the Otsu, or B model. As to their sentais. I have a picture of what claims to be a Ki-84 B in with the 104th Sentai.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Was any version of the 109E armed with 3*20mm cannon & 2*7.62 machine gun, or was this a fantasy?

It's been brought up many times, but as far as I know, there is no conclusive evidence of this ever having been put in serial production or service.

My understanding is that there were a variety of problems causing the MG-FF in the nose to jam. These issues were never resolved, and the first serial 109 to have a nose cannon was the 109F, with the MG151.

The DB601A wasn't suitable for engine cannon installation.
