You can't have too many Tempest threads, IMO.

When are we finally going to get this handsome beast in FB?

I always liked it, with those 4 cannons for destructive goodness.

Hopefully. The cockpit is handsome too. And I really like this plane.

I've liked the Tempest ever since I read Pierre Clostermanns memoirs. I'm looking forward to flying it in FB, Hammerd and Alex Voicu are doing a fine job.

I think it was 1944, intercepting Buzz bombs before they hit London.

"During January of 1944, No 486 Squadron received its first aircraft at Tangmere, later passing these aircraft to No 3 Squadron. As more Tempests were delivered, both units became fully equipped and were declared operational during late April of 1944."

Do you really think when we get it, it will SOUND like a Tempest? I hope it will but I doubt it.Come to think of it, what does a Tempest sound like?

XyZspineZyX

I suspect the major characteristic of a WW2 plane,
when it is on full power and you are in cockpit
is it being really loud. I doubt you hear much
apart from loud. Heck, you probably feel it as
much as hear it.

I'd love to have the Typhoon as well. After all the Tempest was derived from it......

Car door or bubble top. It makes no matter to me.

I discovered the Tempest in EAW.
I'll never be the same again!

It's hard to think of getting a Tempest in a game that doesn't currently even have a Spitfire however.
