I wonder if anybody els is loosing there recorings like I am, in 1946, I'm still in single missions, I thought maybe I was bumping my recording key with out knowing it, but that's not it, it stops recording after a few minutes, with out my knowing it, and I'm loosing out on some great dog fights, it dosen't seem to do it all the time, just when it's a good one! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif now that I know I can't take off from a (little) carrier with my favorite planes, and haven't figured out how to build a campaign yet, (still getting used to computers) I'm starting to wonder what this old buzzard is doing here, any idea's?

Are you hitting the "Start Recording" button, and then "Stop Recording" before you end the mission? I don't believe it will save the track if you don't hit "Stop Recording". That's the only thing I can think of.

thanks for the guick reply Crucislancer, I don't think thats it, because I always forget to stop recording, and it dosen't seem to matter, I just got through with another single mission, the one where your supossed to be protecting a b-17, wow, thats a butt clincher aint it? ran out of ammo, dove into the clouds, rolled out on the deck in a snow storm and lost em, that will teach em to chase an old bush pilot! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif anyway it recorded the whole thing, I think it would help if you had a little icon in the corner of the screen when your recording, wouldn't it ?? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

The one where you are in a P-51? Yeah, I tried that one once. My computer didn't like it, made it difficult to complete. But I agree, it was a butt clincher. My flight got smoked, and I found myself on the deck with a smoking engine and too far away to make a difference.

My experience is only for online tracks, but I can confirm that if you don't hit "stop recording" and you die, the track keeps on being recorded.
I don't know if the offline tracks are handled another way though.

Just sharing another random thought:
how many tracks do you have ?? Maybe you have an issue with the limit of tracks one can have (if any is coded in game).
I've read here somewhere that if you exit and reenter the game the (already) captured screens are overwritten by the new ones, since the sequential numbering is restarted.

Thanks, but I haven't found that to be the case, I go in and out of the game all the time, and the numbers stay the same, (except the ones I delete!) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Is it possible the key you have mapped for quick recording might be mistakenly hit? I once had mine set to "T" and would occasionally accidentally toggle it trying to type a "Shift-T" or "CTRL-T" for other commands?

It's still doing it, I was watching the recording that I mentioned above, I've watched it 3 times last night, I just went in to watch it again, and it stoped just before the enemy showed up, I turned off my anti virus just to make sure that wasn't causeing it, I tried 3 times to run it, but it's gone!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Ok..now I really feel stupid....I shouldn't even admit this, http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif the recording was in 2 segments, I swear, last night it was all one recording, (honest!) I'm thinking now that it's the pain pills I'm on for a ruptured disk, I think theres a lesson in this! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Just clear your assignment to "record" button. Clear it.
http://i16.tinypic.com/4uxldme.jpg
So you cannot press it, nor you can 'activate' it somehow.
When you wanna record something, hit the "ESC" button and press "start recording". When you wanna stop it, again hit "ESC" and select "Stop".
