i was thinking yesterday as i was flyn all alone in the new WCpto server. it would be nice to have AI fill in dureing online missions in servers like warclouds ect. if the player count gets to low have AI spawn in and defend targets or take out targets as need'ed. maby in BoB http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Or wait for BoB, IIRC they plan AI for DF mode there.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see AI planes making bombing runs or AI fighters providing CAP for bombers and take away the important work from human players. Of course, one can play coops are mentioned, but sometimes, one just wants to fly immediately and play contineously until the map is won (scripted DF), or one gets tired of flying.

This is what I'd like to see:

1>The ability to limit the number of players per base based on a numeric value rather than using the spawn diameter to limit players. Using the spawn diameter is a guessing game w/ each airbase.

2>Additionally, I'd like to see the ability to set airstart bases at specific altitudes. This would allow map makers the ability to give bomber pilots a fair shake by starting them at any altitude. Can you imagine how much fun it would be for a group of he111 or b25s starting at 6km? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

3>The ability to limit plane loadouts. ie, no mk108 for the 110g2 for early year maps.

4>The ability to limit the number of aircraft per base based on type. ie, only 1 me262, 2xTA152, 3x109k4, etc. Along the same line, perhaps limit the quanity of planes available. ie, using the above planes, once the 1xme262 is destroyed, the me262 wouldn't be available, both TA152 destroyed, then no more TAs available, etc.

Reading HeinzBar's post about air-starts, I had a crazy thought.

How cool would it be if several players could get together on the DF server map screen and all spawn at the same time?

Imagine several bombers and a couple of escorts all spawning in formation at 6000m.

i was talking about AI filling in when the number of players are real low. playing in a large maps with only 4 people gets boreing. -Hoarmurath- as for coop if i wanted to play coop then id play coop, but i dont always want to fly long missions. i mean if that was the only awnser then why do so many play in warclouds. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
