All is not quite lost. We can use googles cache to recover info from lost threads across all the UBI Forums.

BUT sometime google will refresh its cache so be quick!
Here's how:

Type the name of the forum into Google:

http://airwarfare.com/AWX/images/ubiscrewupagain/Image2.jpg

Click the highlighted link and you will go to a cached version of your forum:

http://airwarfare.com/AWX/images/ubiscrewupagain/Image3.jpg

Don't try to click any of the links on a cached page

To view a cached thread you have to do this process again.

Copy the title of the thread you are interested in into Google search:

http://airwarfare.com/AWX/images/ubiscrewupagain/Image5.jpg

Again click 'cached' and there is your lost thread

It is trickier to get sub pages of a thread, it can be done if you know specific words etc and are dextrous with your googling. This aint perfect but it is better than nothing.

Unfortunately General Discussion Cache has already been refreshed so this will not work there, at time of posting all other forum caches are Pre Crash

Thanks Snoopy. It's something I suppose.

I managed to get the first page of posts back for the Movie Makers Forum and saved these on a free web hosting service (hope that's OK?).

Can you give any more details on how to retrieve subsequent pages?

Internet Archive cache is September 2006, even older than UBI's 'roll back'

I have looked at finding sub pages and find it impossible, the page is tied up in the gibberish in the url:
<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">q=cache:Zv0K78cESzU2 </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I also suspect that sub pages are not cached
