Okay im dumb and most of you know it so here goes...

Im guessing the Ki-84-1a is a Jap plane but why are the dials and gauges have 1 2 3 etc on them and not jap style writing? do they use English numbers etc?

Also i know im going to be totaly wrong if it is not even a Jap plane.

The numbers are correct as far as I know.

Your wrong be sure! They are not really English numbers & yes they were used because they are much easier to read & the Japanese probably (talking pure speculation here) imported gauges took 'em apart & copied them even down to the use of the numbers (which are actually Arabic ? )

They even copied the emblem on the Hamilton Standard Propellers they license made.

I just wish they would have an alpha cut over the revi of the gunsite looks so lame with all planes when the gunsite isnt lined up, as for the ki84 cockpit it looks very accurate to me. Im not sure what that gauge is but its in ki84 cockpit photos. No time to scan them now tho

A similar gauge on the Zero is labelled" Manifold Pressure Gauge". Probably what it is.

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents worth.

The arabic numerals are in all likelihood correct.

The Japanese can also use kanji (chinese characters) to write numbers (1 is a horizontal bar, 2 is represented by two horizontal bars, the symbol that looks like a + sign is 10 for example) but most often the arabic numerals are used.
I think the use of arabic numerals in Japan started during the Meiji period when Japan industrialised rapidly.

It is manifold pressure.

I flew the A6M2/5 in CFS2 sometimes and the this plane is modeled by the AvHistory boys in CFS3 and that is the manifold pressure gauge.
