Crusing off the Scottish Highlands I spy me a fishing boat....... It's bad weather so I cant use the guns so I align her nicely and as I'm bored with a very bad patrol I thnk "what the heck" and fire off a Torpedo at her. Well........ my god i've never een a ship in my life so good at missing torpedos. I fired about 5 at it in the end and it managed to dodge them all. I was most annoyed.

I let them pass, althought they would sure to call in local reinforcements to give your position away. Waist a fish on them - not.

I however use them for deck gun practice if spotted in a channel passage and they are enemy flaged. For example durring the Norway ops in War Ace out of Trondhiem. Simulating they could be spying, carrying comando's, my ex, or even worse, one of the clintons.

Hah, save your deck gun ammo. Use the flak guns, like Socko does! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif It works on them just fine, and saves a few 88mm's until you need them most. Because I once had an almost sunk C3, and no ammo left. Really made me think, "maybe i shouldn't have wasted those HE shots on the darned boat"... Same goes for tugs. Use the flak guns on the waterline http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Oh for god sakes, just hit one at flank and push it over. You wont get credit for the sinkage but it's very satifying to watch.

How deep were you setting the torpedos? It has a pretty shallow draft. It could be like hitting the rounded hull of a tank carrier. All my torps seem to bounce and dive under the thing.
