I'm moving over to learning the LW planes. The gunsight is shifted to the right on the 109's and 190's.

Can they be shifted to the right?

If not, besides practice-practice-practice, is there a tip/trick to using these gunsights? I end up shooting to the left of target.

Shift plus F1 will shift it into place (actually it leans the pilot over to the right). Having it offset aids in landing. To fly and get kills with the 109s and 190s learn the deflection shot. Set your convergence low (175 for me) and most of all please dont turn too much or guns wont matter.

Why do you shoot to the left? Just put the crosshair on the target.

Commie 1;

Groan? Thanks for the help but a little less attitude please?

I'm sure others could have answered the question. You don't have to, especially if it 'bothers' you so much.

I know, I could have searched the (10K+) threads and found the answer (eventully) I'm sure.

Buzz;

Didn't you read my sig? I'm left handed! LOL.

Do a search man, the question has been asked 4,000 times...oh, wait it is not your fault, the search function doesn't work very well.

It's in the Control Keys Reference that came with the game when you bought it.

You do have documentation with your copy of the game, don't you?

It might be worth your while to read through it next time, if you have it./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Like the guy said, why bother replying if it's so tedious for you?

There was a clue to the question in the subject topic. You didn't even have to open it.

I'm glad you understood the entire manual to the whole game on the first reading. I didn't.

This question will come up again, and again, and again, because it is a slightly wierd feature that will throw new users again and again.

I believe that newbies are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty Il2 has inside! give them a sense of pride, to make it easier.

Let the newbie's laughter remind us how we used to be.

The Shift-F1 gunsight question comes up so much that i can only blame the interface.

There is no doubt in my mind at all that the Shift-F1 should be enabled by default when you install the game.

I prefer kook to newbie. In surf jargin thats the guy who sits out in the line up waiting for a wave then decides to go for the one you are already on (really they are called a snake but kooks snake without knowing they are snaking) /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif . End result is a collison. A few kind words and a little advice and they never do it again. Same applies with these newbies online. If they make a mistake give them a few pointers if they maintain assdom then pound them over and over. My god how did I get on this tangent?!

What the hell is with all these nOObs asking On Topic questions. Sheesh you'd think this board was about playing IL2 or sumthun'. No wait.../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

'scuse the "groaners" it's just their way of saying they like ya /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif . Welcome aboard.
