Very nice model. and a realy cool display that you should be proud of.

I like your paint scheme, did you choose it yourself or was it reccomended by the model makers ?
What were the colour numbers for the paint? this info may help other model makers who wish to re-create a similar effect as you have attained.

Its nice to see talent being put to constructive use like this..blasting all them ships away in SH3 "Tut tut "

You know, after playing SH3 for a bit, I've gotten the itch to take up model making again. I was even thinking of doing a U-boot one. It's been many many years since I did some models, way back when I was a teenager, but I really have the itch to do them now, and put some TLC into it.

Nice model, BTW. You should buy one of those cheap 10 dollar models and practice your "weathering" technique on it. That's what I plan on doing, since I'm not very good at that stuff either.

I definetely want to add this model to my collection. I've already started on an collection of WWII aircraft involved in the Pacific Air War. I love history, particularly WWII naval aviation.
Here's my Corsair:

I have the Dauntless, Hellcat, Wildcat, Avenger, and Corsair so far, and on Zeke fighter, and one Black Widow, and one Kate in progress.

Also about that sub, here's a good link to some detailed pics of the model too, it's not my model, though.

Nice detailed, well painted model of the Chance Vought Corsair, Djackson44.
That particular plane was for Aircraft carrier usage if I am not wrong !

One of my favourite WII planes next to the Spitfire.

my all time best is the Thuderbolt P-47..awesome air cooled Jug!

Man why can't I paint stuff like that? I gotta find myself someone who can do stuff like that and just sit there and watch them do it. I've read about it in magazines and books, but reading it and trying to then do it isn't so easy. I need to see it to understand how they do the rusting and weathering effects.
