Well good news, the unique server F19_Cr@pGalore is back, not twentyfourseven, but most days from 0800 GMT to 0000 GMT.

We provide you with a unique experience, fly different maps with only ONE planetype available, the same on each side. Simple, fun and smooth. Room for 18 pilots

There are VERY limited numbers of goundobjects, just plain fun aircombat, close to target.

Maps in rotation:
- J8A vs J8A
- TB3 vs TB3 (!!!!!!!)
- I-153P vs I-153P
- A6M2N vs A6M2N
- Fiat G50 vs Fiat G50
- P11C vs P11C
- Tomahawk vs Tomahawk
- I16 type 18 Vs I16 type 18

With the same planetype, you can't blame your ride for getting shot down, blame it on your pilotskills or whateverhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Server version: 4.04m
Script: IL2SC

Can be found on Hyperlobby and ASE

Welcome and have fun!!

Will P80 vs P80 be added to the mix?

It is a **** plane in that it never saw WW2 combat, does that count?

crappy p80

The "official" Cr@p Plane criteria, from the simhq archives.
I'm afraid point 13 clearly rules out the P80 as worthy of the honourable title.

-------------

1. If it were a horse would it be worth more as dogmeat?

2. Does it float as well/better than it flies?

3. Like a bumblebee...should it be impossible by the laws of physics for it to leave the ground?

4. Would your Grandmother fancy a flight in it?

5. If made in the west, was it only popular with the VVS?

6. Does it have a door like a car?

7. If banking in formation was it safer for pilots to indicate by sticking their arm out the window?

8. Did it have any windows?

9. Does it only look attractive when you're drunk?

10.Does it remind you of a utilitarian household object (bucket, jug, sardine can...etc..etc...)?

11. Does it look like an Art Deco Standard Lamp?

12. Was it obviously unsuitable for combat duty?

13. At the time it entered service, was it pathetically out of date?

14. Was it unlikely to have any chance of competing in WWII?

15. Was it hopelessly outclassed?

16. Would it make a cute early learning toy?

17. Is it best seen in the dark? [ie...it is not specifically designed AS but gets relegated TO nightfighter status].

18. Is the design concept unclear? [Obvious example...Boulton Paul Defiant...plus see anything posted by **** Dastardly or Lazyposs].

Cool. IAR-80 beats all this requirements and has the torque of the tempest by mistake on top of that. Get it in please. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/inlove.gif

Forget about # 16 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif it could kill it's pilots faster than Rudorfer. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

IAR is a bit too fast, but MC200 might make ithttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif as the Fokker WHEN it arrives ( I won't stop hoping)

I formally requesrt that the KI-43a be placed in the plane set.

There is nothing better flying a fighter so nimble and twitchy, yet with a bog roll for a sight and twin potato guns for armaments.

Yeah I agree totally, what the HELL is going on with that sight? Its such a disadvantage. The bandit can change direcrtion while obscured by the black outer rim and you can lose him as a result. Ridiculous!

Too bad I'm still on 56k, would have loved to fly this server, I enjoy early war cr@p planes alot more than the late war faster silver bullets and lawndart into the ground faster than you can say....

The '16 is hardly a crappy plane. Put me up against a pilot of equal skill in any one of its contemporaries and I'll knock it down

F19_Orheim

Correction, the Tomahawk is NOT in the rotaion, Hawk81 is. Sorry for the confusion...

Bout the I16.... well I do agree with you, it is not a cr@pplane, nor is the P version of the I153, but it is early and so goodloocking I just had to put it in.

Sounds excellent, I reckon I'll pop in for a bash sometime.

I also second the motion for the Ki-43 .. although I don't find the gunsight a problem. It's ... different, but that unique zoom effect has its moments http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Not for your poor victim... You and your mate were way too good for us.

No, seriously it was great fun, loved it. Excellent server. I had a go with the Hawk 81s before the I-153s, lovely plane.

F19 chaps, could you have a look at your profanity kick list though, I got kicked for saying "Hello EL" http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
