Leonardo actually usually wrote his notes backwards, so what you did is a milder version of what he did on a daily basis. He'd have no trouble deciphering that. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Still doesn't explain why people hate the phrase.

It's not the phrase itself but the senario in which and how it was used.

What would you have him say then? Just a question. Same goes to you Animuses.

Honestly, people can say whatever the heck they want when they get together to drive an evil leader of of his city.

People are so much more critical of stuff like this in fiction than they are in real life.

If someone said this before entering a battle to arrest Hitler, no-one would sneer at them and say "That's cliche blahblahblah"

Tropes and cliche's exist for a reason in fiction.

Battle cries have HAPPENED, and STILL happen, on this earth.
They can empower a group of people.

The idea of a shadowy figure striking from the darkness and dissapearing into the crowd is a cliche too, but it's awesome, so we don't give a crap.

Congrats to the awesome team at Ubisoft. When I say that I didn't like Brotherhood as much as AC2, I mean that it didn't add as many new things that I liked as AC2 did. It is undoubtedly better, and the best game I played last year.

Indeed. You can hardly blame realistic things for being cliche. Basically, it would be unrealistic not to be cliche. People are generally cliche in their behavior.

Basically what I'm saying is that ACB improved enough that it felt better than AC2 did, but not enough that it felt better than when I played AC2 for the first time. It's a better game, but a lot of what makes it good comes from what was good about AC2, and that stuff doesn't feel as fresh the first time around. Still an amazing game, though, and way better than I had been expecting.

To be honest it would have been fine if they all just said vittoria in response to ezio. But the addition of those two words completely ruined it and made it beyond corny.

EDIT: I'm going to take this discussion to the proper thread.

So, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is better than Assassin's Creed 2, but you like AC2 more?

That's logical.

Exactly.

And if you compare the way I felt playing AC2 after AC1, it was such a huge difference. Brotherhood would have had to have been just as big a leap to make me feel the same.

Question: How the hell does Portal 2 end up as the runner-up for best ACTION game?

Not really. It's all relative. Only the first game in a series can be judged based entirely on how good it is. The other games have to be also judged based on how good they are compared to their predecessor. AC2 was miles better than AC1. Brotherhood was a respectable amount better than AC2. Actually, Brotherhood was worse than AC2 in some ways, like the story. So you'd have to factor that in too.

And Assassino, sorry for misunderstanding. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

masterfenix2009

Well, I consider ac2 and acb the same game. So if I were to be asked which is better, I would say both. Because they re both the same game.

The thing is that you're talking about the derivative of what Jexx is talking about. You're saying that ACII was better at being better than the last installment than ACB was, but Jexx is just saying that ACB was better than the last installment, which you agree with don't you?

I don't judge games based on their predecessor when I'm actually judging them.

Doing so is sort of stupid and makes a ton of people rag on a perfectly fine game that just wasn't as good as the previous one (See PC players on Dragon Age 2)

I agree with that. People shouldn't be expecting a linear increase in quality. Eventually it's going to reach a limit.

As long as they'll run it on the Xbox 360, they should be able to run it on the PS3 I think. Unless the 360 has some awesome trump cards that would turn it into a console able to compete with the next generation of consoles.

I totally doubt it.
Maybe thats why they are taking a break after AC3 next year.
Maybe AC3 ends with Desmond Arc, and theyll think in a new story for the next generation.
