Hi,

On Ubi's store it says the game (Il2 1946) is rated Teen. Why is this?

Thanks,
Mike.

Simulated violence- that's all. Any graphically gory graphics they took out a few versions ago.

Enjoy

Perhaps because of the violent content? Seeing litle men plummet to their simulated demise because their parachutes were shot full of holes isn't exactly "Toy Story II" http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I bet a big part of it was (gasp) the smoking depicted in the bonus content.

Because only a teen would believe the 50 cals aren't porked? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Might be for the historical context. You're replicating a situation that happened, not shooting alien slime.

There are tobacco and alcohol references in some of the mission briefings. The violence, the profanity, and the fact that you can fly for the Fuhrer and become a Knight of the Third Reich might have something to do with it also.

Just wait; if SoW features the Cerne Abbas Giant it'll be 18+, be sure.

Triad I've always wondered about that, in the config you can enable gore as well as arcade mode. I've seen what arcade does but never any gore, has anyone and what exactly was gory about it?

i once dreamt that i turned a backgunner into a bloddy mass

could i have got it from the gore on the game?

The nose gunner on the MBR-2 when hit used to hang over the side of his position covered in gore. The rear turret when hit would look like a frog in a blender.

The He111 also used to be quite graphic.

Gore covered gunners also appear frequently in the movie The Battle of Britain.

When gore is set to on, blood would show splattered all over the cockpit in only a couple of the planes.I can not remember which ones.

Your subconcious is overmodelled and porked.

The blood was on the external view only. Other than the He-111 and MBR, I think the only other plane was one of the Bf109Fs. The feature only worked in the original IL-2 Sturmovik game anyhow, and disappeared with Forgotten Battles.

The MBR was the most obvious, but rarely encountered in battle.

The He-111 gore was subtle, and I don't think you could see it on all crewmen.

Only one Bf109 model had the blood on the cockpit.
