Kammeraden.
I know this is a little o/t, but I figured that Butch or one of the Experten gathered here might just take pity on a sometimes modeller.

I have a technical question that I hope someone might be able to help me with.

I wish to convert Hasegawa's 1/32nd scale FW190 D-9 into the D-13 Yellow 10. My problem revolves around the engine mounted MG151/20 and it's ancillaries.

I cannot work out what size and shape the ammo can is and ejection chute routing on the fire wall look like.Given the area available, the breech of the weapon must project through the fire wall and be visible between the pilot's rudder pedals, with or without a cover some thing like that fitted to the MG151/20 when fitted to Bf109Gs,but I can find no images or information. Can anyone offer any suggestions or links.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Sincerely,
Ian Kaiser.

Hummm i suppose from your Post on LEMB that you already have a copy of the drawings present in Jerry's "Yellow 10" book. I do not think i have seen other data on the D-13 but i'll have a look.

Gents,
Thanks to all who responded.
Kimura, nice links!
Butch, it's not the externals that are a problem, it's the presence or other wise of canon equipment between the pilot's feet that's interesting me.Of concern also, is just how much the mount is visible through the wheel wells.
I can do the model master work and I've got a resin after-market caster friend who's keen to cast up the conversion for me,..I just don't want to stuff it up.

Many thanks,
Bussard.

J Crandells book is very good. I seem to think i had a diffrent supercharger, and a diffrent motor from the standard d9. It is a little wider in the cowl, but it would take a rivet counter to notice. Look close it is possible for the d 13 to have a 30 mil buried in the engine not just a 20 some of the aircraft reatained it. Unlike d12 it had no outer wing cannons.
S!
