Clearly it's very hot. If he just stands on it, he'll burn his feet.

No no, you guys have it all wrong, he jumped on it from another plane and while trying to hijack it, got his feet shot at by the crew. "dance!"

If you'll notice, he's not wearing a German uniform. He is in fact an Allied pilot who, after running out of ammo, and unsatisfied with only 7 kills this sortie, decided not to fly home in his I16. Instead he jumps onto the enemy's plane, kills the crew, and pilots the captured craft back home; no doubt shooting down a few more enemies on the way. You no doubt have read similar accounts in history books as the practice was quite common.

Some Jerrys have nicked his plane while he was sleeping on it, painted crosses on the wings and are taking it to the seaside to get icecreams. He's lactose intolerant and is trying to get back in to make them go to the cinema like he wanted to in the first place.

Perhaps...

He's just been told his unit is switching to Mosquitos.

Because he believes that if he dances hard enough, maybe the picture will show?
