You are on a good track there to find some finer details of the cockpit modeling but that was discussed ages ago and yes its not correct from real pilots look be sure .)

It could be wrong but I doubt they'd ever change it. There doesn't seem to be any desire on the part of the development team to go back and rehab old cockpits and you really can't blame them fore it. I don't really think it hurts anything and its a beautiful cockpit (unlike say the 109 which really needs an overhaul).

I know they will never change that why I post this on GD and not ORR, but even if the cockpit model is beautiful, it's annoying when u see the very clear forward view on the first picture, and then u got somthing like a FW190 forward view in the game. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

There is nothing wrong with posting good/new evidence. Something for the Oleg Team to consider after the BOB with the later add ons.

'first release is BoB, then we will go around the whole WWII again.
BoB will be just the first in the line of series.'

I always felt that pilot seems to sit very high in the Il-2 Me 262 cockpit... which is the main reason I very seldom fly it. It porks the whole experience of flying this lovely bird.

Very Nice Photo that ---the View over the Nose in that shot is rather improved over FB's - Hopefully our Friend BOB will be very studious in these areas.

I think it is a great disadvantage to have the sight so low on the "dashboard" because it reduces the reaction time in deflecting.
The Yak,La got it higher and the Me-110 got a nice placed sight.
Lets hope that Oleg change the FW sight as well.

I agree that it's a disavantage one this one, cause a clear foreward view is realy important
for this fast AC to perform deflection shot,
the difference here with the FW is that the mesh is the problem , not just the view
angle (from all the pictures I see the mesh of the FW cockpit match the real one, at least for the A-8 A-9 F-8 and D-9, the A-6 and A-4 look's a bit different.
The problem I see with the FW foreward view is that it look's that in the game the pilot head was too high in the pit and
look down, I think it should be the opposite the pilot head should be lower and look up, but I have no proof of that, just my feelings http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )

anyway I hope the post BOB Me 262 got the correct foreward view, and that we can turn the revi to the right to clear the view like IRL,
I also hope that they correct the the emergency dropping of the canopy, the rear part of it should be drop too (for this i have proof http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif).

Hey, I found one idea http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I think the developers forgot to carry a pilot's parachute and sit on parachute over cockpit seat when take a cam. picture (IMHO)

I hope for BOB some pilot's friends will give them a pilot's parachute to take a batter picture. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Don't you think that first photo is a little misleading, what with it zoomed in so far?

I'm not saying it's wrong; it just doesn't make a very good comparison with the distance from the sight that the game uses. The closer you get to the revi, the better the outside view will appear.

Is the second cockpit photo from the same variant as the in game screenshots are? Notice the redline on the tachs is lower and two of th gauges in the next row are blocked off.

here is a new screen shot closer to the revi, to make comparison easier :

new picture that show the windshield and the canopy drop :
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/harryklein/windshieldpit_drop.jpg

and a last one with the revi turn to clear the view :

for the red line around the gauges I have no idea http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif
