View Full Version : Anyone see the guy on gamespot dissing the game?

He's not lying about owning the game, but he seems to be taking a lot of cheap shots to the game as if he has his own personal vendetta to it.
I just want to know if anything he said about the game is actually a valid point for anyone who has played the game.

He seems pretty legit but who really cares. My friend haves told me before that they didn't like Zelda: Ocarina of Time even though its probably my favorite game of all time.

Everyone has different tastes so it doesn't really matter. Either way even if every critic gave it a 6.0/10, I'm still getting it so let this guy hate Assassin's Creed because all that proves is that he obviously doesn't know to judge an amazing game.

He does seem like he's judging it too fast, but I do agree with him about the parkour. Because if all you do is hold the RT, and A and you suddenly jump over anything in your way...I don't know, doesn't that just sound bland? I myself never really wanted it for the fighting anyway, but I think the one button thing was a fine idea, and looks like it works out great.

I think he's just the type of person, that Ubisoft stated, should not play the game. Because you need patcience to walk through every level, to go in for the kill. And I can pretty easily tell he only played the tutorial, and hasn't even gotten to the cities and is already judging it based on so open land that you fight some guys in. He's impatient, you can definitly tell.

Anyway, I'm still getting the game and trying it for myself, and I'm sure I will enjoy it.

Yah i am kinda sad about the parkour, but i think once i get the controllers in my hands I will change my mind.

Yeah, i tend to ignore people like that.
No matter what he says, i am getting it!

I disagree with him regarding the controls. I like the controls.

I haven't formulated an opinion of the story yet for obvious reasons.

I'm mostly interested in the controls IMO. Also i would much rather have holding a button free running than press a at a perfectly timed moment, that would be just frustrating.

So it didn't feel weird not really bieng able to control freerunning too much? And how is the climbing anyway? Is it slow, and does what you don't want it too a lot? Or does it actually respond well?

I don't think it feels weird. The climbing isn't too slow. It responds pretty well. I almost never had situations where the game did something else besides what I wanted (most of the times when it did do something besides what I wanted was when I was still getting used to the controls)

Taste is subjective. Some people will like the game. Some won't. It's not something to take personally. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif I have completed Tenchu Z 100% and did everything to get the 1000/1000 achievement point and had a real blast doing (ruthless stabbing of people in game is what I like the most http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif), yet it still consider one of the most crappy game that came out his summer...

It's all a matter of taste.

"CoD4 I wasn't too hot about" Right there i realized that we didn't have the same taste in games and I didn't read any more of the article because i'm fairly impressionable and it would probably bum me out. But seriously, cod4 is freaking amazing.

I agree with Arlo1, if he wasn't too hot about CoD4 ... fair enough, but believe me when I say that so far, CoD4 is my game of the year (I say so far because AC isn't out yet http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif ) So, that, and the fact that he lacks any review skills, makes his review on Assassin's Creed obselete and pointless.

yah ron, same here as far as game of the year. With the cinematic and intense single player and the deep and fun as hell multiplayer. But assassins creed is something totally differen't, so i wont have to force myself to choose between CoD4 and Assassins creed. Although I'm far more excited for the release of AC.
