What with the "all known facts" post telling us about the sci fi elements of the game, I have no idea what to make of them. Could they be an extra dimension, or just stupid? or not there at all? Please, anyone point out any mistakes im making as im new to this forum malarky.

Well, not literally another dimension.

Probably an extra dimension of storyline, just to complicate things because their writers couldn't possibly make a historical fiction game and keep it historical.

Maybe setting up sequels or levels (Please god no)but I think the whole sci fi element is going to be mostly aesthetic, at least for this game.

Yeah, i agree with you. i seriouly hope Altair dosnt "wake up and hes in the future" or anything. although it did say that one of the games will be in the future. I like the aesthetics though. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gif

Did you see the part about genetic memory? i think thats what they ment by sci fi. Patrice Desilets also mention some stuff about how the assassins believed the world was an illusion...your post kinda got me thinking about if they actuly put some kind of spin on an alternate dimension or something.

I think the science fiction element here stands for the fact that the game is actually a memory...I think.

hmmm. you know, seeing as it worked [excellently] in vampire: the masquerade, i'm willing to give it a chance here.

i was thinking about all the sci fi stuff, and then i started thinking about what i have heard about the sequels and the possibility of the sequels in the future and stuff, and then out of nowhere i just thought of something that might be pretty cool if they(ubisoft) did this. My theory on the memory stuff is that whoever is recalling these memories and acting as the assassin is being trained through these memories. this training along with whatever training you complete in the second game(as i believe this is going to be a trilogy) will be what is used to prepare you to have the skills in this third game, which i am assuming is going to be in the future. I figure in this third game you will be playing as the guy who is looking up at the scientist/doctor lady at the end of the X06 video, and he will be needing these skills, like acrobatics, crowd cover, etc, and whatever will be expierinced in the second game, to accomplish whatever is needed to be done in the third game. The rumored confidence/health meter would go into this theory because obviously the people advocating this memory stuff wanta worthy candidate, not someone who is not confident enough in his skills. All in all i have no idea what ubisoft is doing with this game, but the waiting and speculation is just making me want this more and more, lets just hope we can get our hands on it sometime before hell freezes over.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/agreepost.gifto all above posts. Thanks for the wiki link. This could work actually, my hopes are higher. I had some odd idea that the character was maybe related to Altair and he was remembering it through "genetic memory". thanks all.
