Okay, what if R6:V does the same thing GRAW does. You know how they say there are no loading screens and your mission is given to you on the helo ride. Well, I think R6:V could be similar. What do you all think.

Is this what you want? How do you think people who want the series to remain hardcore may feel negatively about such changes?

Cue DoubleTap, lol. I don't know about "remaining" hardcore, more like return to hardcore R6.

As far as planning and briefing, ya can't beat the PC versions. Anything even remotely like that would be great. I don't know about the helo thing. Actually, there are no loading screens in R6 are there? Just mission briefing and loadout right? I don't remember (Haven't played the console versions in so long.)

well, Riainbow always flew commercial airlines. they were never really brought in to the scene via helo. they would fly to the location, drive there, then get to the scene. the place would have already been secured by the local police. that means there would be police lines and personell surrounding the site making sure noone gets in or out, minimizing civilian casualties (by keeping them from runniing in the area) and eliminating enemy escape. they would get in recon positions (usually done by the sniper) and plan the mission from what they see. What Lockdown did was think that Rainbow was some special forces team who take care of the situation themselves, completely alone. thats not right. the team has alot of support from the local police. they get blueprints from them, uniforms (because rainbow is posing as the local police), survailence information, lots of stuff. when they are done, they pack up and leave without anyone knowing they were there.

if terrorists take a bank, they wouldn't plop rainbow in a parking garage, then make them travel to the bank. first of all, there arent that many terrorists to fill the garage and streets. there are usually max of 7 or 10 terrorists. they don't have the time or resources to take a whole block.

im typing too much, just read the book! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Without saying anything official about this just for the sake of discussion...If Rainbow had to remain in the same area for an extended period of time they would definetly need to secure transport no?

yeah, but they wouldn't fly in and make a big scene. maybe they don't even need a helo. gas is expensive and an urban enviroment, while not impossible, is an extremely difficult enviroment to fly in. They would probably drive in, see what the deal is, and decide how they want to insert.

If NATO came together to create a multinational CT team I highly doubt they would limit their mission to a very small scope to a well defined hostage senario where they have taken control of a building.

How often does that happen? It would render the team useless. If something like Rainbow was created I believe their directive would to be to take the fight to the terrorists.

Even in the book they raided the compound in the end. Raids, snatch jobs, recons should all be part of the R6 mission format. I do not want a game where I'm doing the same thing 10x over on different maps.

Also Rage, you are so focused on the book, they used the NightStalkers to insert in the book as well.

they did, and i did say that they used them for insertion, but they wouldn't fly around the city and arrive and leave like that. it would draw too much attention to them.

rainbow specialises in CQC. i was saying that they wouldn't be sent to iraq to fight the war against terror, for example. i agree that there should be elements or recon and raids. but they have to be realistic to what rainbow is. a tactical response team, not delta force.

Good point. More variety is definitely needed.

It wouldn't make a big scene if you were to helo to something like a hospital landing pad, since these drops are made on a regular basis, no?

There's also accessibility, theoritically a helicopter is much more versatile to get to locations then say an unmarked black truck, and faster to boot.

actually they are basically an internally based Delta Force.

Well Lockdown did introduce the helo so I don't mind having them and GRAW did have a small fraction of loading when in the truck or the helo. You can see it right after Scott Mitchele is done talking or receive his orders.I would love to see it that way thou http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Just let us do a quick load up(Quick) when changing maps in Vs mode cause I want to be able to notice when some one change maps and I must change the camo to suit it.

I also like playing a map a couple of times before switching it.Whit the quick acces to map people play them twice then they change it quickly.
