Simple question; is a 200 kb/s downstream connection enough for online playing?

Thanks for the info.

Yes, have a few friends on 56k and one on 128k, 56k'ers have some problems sometimes, but the 128k never does. you should be ok.

200kb/s is like 1.6Mbit so it is more than enough.

If you mean 200kbps then it is juuuust over the minimum for a smooth online game.

It would be good to have at least 128kbps upload also.

Isn't 200kb = 25kB?

Thanks all for the infos http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

So, if I've understood well, 200kb for the downstream is enough for smooth playing, but this connection has only 64kb for the upstream.

Will this work?

okay i see the problem here

first of all
Kb = kilobit
KB = KilotBYTE so if it's 200Kb then ya have a problem, but if it's 200KB then your okay

It will be ok.Just don`t play with ppl from the other side of da world.
I have 128kbps upload and Brazilians really have bad pings in my games and I guess they`re experiencing the same from my side.
With US players however,no problem.

I used to play on 56k dial (actual connection speeds of around 38 to 41k on a good day) just fine. I did this on and off since IL2 came out, there were certain servers I coudn't play in is all.
