i think the voice sound should be very husky and early 30 man's voice somebody who has some darkness in the past... and he walks in darkness for goodness of people.. like zorro but as we know he's just too "cheerful" and no secretive.. well what do you guys think?

I would love it if Altair actually spoke Arabic in the game, and all languages spoken were that of the time and only English subtitles throughout.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

I said it before, I'll say it again: Jean Reno FTW. (http://imdb.com/name/nm0000606/)

I watched the movie Gladiator yesterday and immediately thought about AC when Russel Crowe (Maximus) is taken in as a slave by Proximo, the whole setting for that village was Arabic like, they had turbans on their heads, wore the traditional clothes etc. Regarding that to this thread, they should make Altair have a semi-deep, fluent, smooth voice as his character is one which you can say flys in the wind. His voice must suit this and not be deep like Marcus in Gears of War which is someone who is big and muscley etc... or with a dirty sort of French accent like Jean Reno. They should get a real Arabic voice actor with the qualities I mentioned and I think that will work out well.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well in that case, what about the guy who plays Sahyde (I know I spelt that wrong) on Lost? I'm semi-just kidding.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

my school has us do an essay after we watched a movie with Jean Reno, every year. weve watched like atleast 4 movies with him in it.
its actually one of the only times you get a break during french class.

I dont actually think Altair should speak, maybe cuz all the the people named assassins in video games are usually silent, or in some movies spit poison needles

And what if Altair is another "Gordon Freeman" with no lines, or voice?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Altair will have to be fluent in English as this is the time of Crusades. He will have to infiltrate both Catholic controlled cities and Muslim so being fluent in both language would be a major advantage. As for the voice it should be smooth and semi-deep to echo jabbran but also with a hint of pain and the burdens of his past reflected in his voice so maybe a cliped edge like a man who has no time to suffer fools.

I was watching Kingdom of Heaven today, and thoguht that Jeremy Irons would be a good voice for Altair. Once again though, there's the problem of him possibly being to "English" for Altair.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Nonsense. When it comes to acting, there's no such thing as "too English".

I meant his accent being "too English", but I don't know. I was just speculating.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

In my humble opinion, Bruce Willis would be a good choice. But I don't think Ubi could afford it, I mean, they are rich after all, but recording voice of Bruce's wouldn't bring too much profit. But his voice's great indeed.
