Wil be a SIM

Not like il-2-FB-AEP-PF we have now = ARCADE

There is no good engine model
Its to easy to shoot

No gunjaming

Just pul stick in the latest patches

The torque has gone

Only at starting you have torque

But not in flight

No pilot fatique

and no overal plane management

No penalty of faulty use mixture our engine in flight and fight

no fuel, bullets etc.. ignition when hit

No fuel, guns on baord stuf weight

No fueltanks selection our when one is empty drag model etcc

I hope that BOB wil at least al have that in it for a SIM of 2007

Thank you

I agree with some of the points however:

1) "Just pul stick in the latest patches" If you think that you can just pull on the stick in this latest patch without stalling you are very very wrong, unless your flying an early war type biplane.

2) Torque is there whilst your flying, check the "ball" on the instrument panel in your plane and you will notice it is off centre.

This is a 5 year old sim now, get over it. Its still the best out there.

I hope you will be able to manage the squadron, i.e. allocate certain planes to which pilots, choose who flies with who according to their attributes, choose who gets rested.

The more involved I can be with my squadron the more immersive it will be.

I'm flying a dead is dead campaign at the moment and the last original member of my staffel was shot down today, after 85 missions and 28 kills.

That's a nice poem, but I'd have liked it better if it rhymed. I think free verse is a stylistic cop out.

Maybe if it was in Haiku form?

FB is 'arcade'
Fatigue me, torque me, jam me;
Make BoB real.

Or a limerick:

In FB/PF I have no care,
My machine simply slides through the air.
My guns never jam,
Ammo doesn't go blam,
I hope BoB will mess up my hair!

Poorly constructed arguments and a boring post. Stop playing the game if you dont like it and go away....

The sim is to old. We must wait for tbob and then we will see.

The DM seems to be much better than the old one.

Full Real? What do you do, shoot yourself when you get a Pilot Killed message? Note, there is NOTHING real about this game (notice I said game, that is what it is. A GAME to have FUN! Can you say FUN?) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/metal.gif

I'm furiously against this.

What he said. Its the best thing out there, and the most realistic thing out there (other than the real thing).

Dont like it? Write your own game.

I can't wait till we have whining about pilot fatigue, jame rates on the guns, and engine failures for all sorts of reasons.

I am looking forward to some better options. Fuel tank control is something I very much look forward to as well as control over ammunition belts. More sophisticated behind the scenes DM is something that I'm looking forward to as well.

But some things I think should be left as is or definately made a toggleable thing. If we go too far...then it ceases to become fun to all but the sophisticated historical recreationist. I would also seriously challenge the "arcade" accusation. I suggest you go play a real arcade game like Crimson Skies and come back and tell us that we're playing an arcade game.

Only the 109 has a pull back and not stall behavior http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

paint-ball mode is necessary for those of us who are religious and have moral fiber.

I'm tired enough to model pilot fatigue, I assure you.

But seriously, I'm glad Oleg does not include features that cannot be realistically modeled.

For example, 'gun jamming' in other games is so ridiculously unrealistic, it's worse than no jamming at all.

Yeah, well, what you said about torque is BS. Your other complaints are more or less legit, but I still wouldn't say this is _arcade_ at least when compared to anything else out there...

But hey, you can always quit playing this game if it gets on your nerves too much, no?
