how much downloadable content is there?

I bought the game and it came with a piece of paper called "Unlock exclusive map Shipyard Arsenal"

Also there is a downloadable content on Playstation store. Now is that the same content as SHipyard Arsenal or not.

Also I purchased it and have both downloadable content but how do I play each of them. I want to make sure i'm not wasting my money for nothing so how do I play both at what point in the story and everything. Also is there a way to miss them in the game? Thanks again for posting...

the DLC from PSN is memory block 12 and you will play it when you get to it and the ship yard is in Venice and it will show up on the map (as a templar lair) once you get the up to the point in the game were you can access the area of Venice it is in.

How many memory blocks are there and why wasn't memory block 12 part of the game to begin with?

I don't think anyone is saying the DLC is a ripoff simply because it cost money. The reason it seems like "they ripped the pages out my book, only to sell it back to me later" is because, well selling me chapters 11 & 12 after I have read the whole book through chapters 13 & 14 seems like you intended to sell me an incomplete book the first time through. You know I will still want to read the missing chapters, and it seems like a scam to have to buy them after the fact.

To reiterate my complaints about the DLC...

EDIT: @@@@(SPOILER ALERT)@@@@

Does adding chapters 11 & 12 after I've beat 13 & 14 make sense?
Does it appear that these chapters were removed from the original game and sold back to me later?
Should $3.99 content be replayable without starting the whole game over, should it last more than an hour?
Did they add the flying machine for fun, or so people could get the achievement with out starting over and without mission replay?
Did Ezio get the Apple back, or was it the twin that stabbed me and the monk that took it, cant replay to find out (I really cant remember, I dont think he got it back though, and what was the map for)?
I'll ask differently, if you think the DLC was a good deal please elaborate.
In YOUR opinion what would have made the DLC better?

Criticism, both positive and negative, helps Ubisoft to understand their customers likes and dislike better, which in turns helps them make better games in the future... I loved AC2, but I can still find flaws I would like to help them correct in their next release!

There's 14 Memory Blocks. 12 and 13 were left out. Or was it 11 and 12? Can't remember...

It depends on your opinion what $4 is worth, but in mine, it was well-worth my $8 AUD. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

thanks is there story parts to the missing memory blocks?

Yeah, sorta... its part of the story but I played it after I had beat the game so it didn't make as much since to me as it might to you... assuming you play straight through from 11 to 12. I dont really know though... you may have to beat the game and then go back and play through the "corrupted" memory sequences (DLC1)? Anyone know for sure on that?

LilKis

yeah can I play it the firsat time though the game or do I have to beat the game 1st to play it? Please help and thanks!

I would almost bet you would have to beat the game to play the corrupted sequences... I wont tell you why I think that thought because I cant remember exactly how the DLC ended and I dont want to spoil it for you.

So how do you play the downloadable content when you beat the game you can go back to that memory block or something?

I dont remember the exact steps but when you download it a new text bar appears on the main screen saying you can access the new content... I loaded my game, dont remember if i had to access the DNA subfolders or not, but it pretty much walked me through it

But no you can NOT access any previously completed memory block... not with out starting a new game, this includes the DLC once you have beaten it.

Once downloaded, and then after entering your Save, it should just automatically start the DLC, depending on where you're up to.

I think you do play through sequence 12 and 13 if its your first play-through without having to complete the game because when I opened up a file where I was in sequence 10 and it just went straight into sequence 12 when I got to that part of the story.

If you've already completed the game, as the others say, it should just go straight into seq 12 when you open up a file after seq 13 (or when you complete the game, really that not sure).

This was posted in another thread and confirms Jimbo's statement... (SPOILER ALERT)

Obviously, I can't speak for Sequence 13, but having played through the entire game from start to finish since buying the Forli DLC I can say this as fact:

After buying the first DLC you have to play through sequence 12 before you can progress to sequence 14.

After sequence 11 finishes you are dumped out of the animus like you are in the original (non-DLC) game.

Like before, Lucy asks if you want to take a break and Desmond demands to go back in "right now!".

Unlike before, you immediately go back into the animus, where you start off in Romany, near where you talk to Caterina and Machiavelli (sp?) outside the Forli walls at the start of the first memory in the DLC sequence.

After sequence 12 is complete, you then get dumped out to the animus loading screen with a conversation between Desmond, Shaun & Co. about how there is corrupt memory, only this time it is slightly amended compared to how it was originally.

When Desmond asks Shaun to fill in the blanks of what he's missing in the corrupt memories, all the chat Shaun gave in the original version that pertains to sequence 12 is (sensibly) omitted and he only talks about Savanarolla (sp?) taking control of Florence, the Bonfire of the Vanities and Rodrigo becoming Pope.

After this conversation you are then put back into the animus in the vicinity of Florence, as if you had just travelled there from the Mountains.

I have no problem with paying for extra DLC. But I do want to know is why ther are no trophies for the DLC? This is the first game that I have that didnt have trophies for there DLC.

No idea, mate. But does it really matter? They're only trophies.

It does matter. Trophies are a vital part to the gaming experience. They add a lot more depth and challenge to a game.

i got a question: if i get the DLCS during a current playthrough, does it mean i have to go and replay the whole game to get at them?

bokeef04

no, if you have finished the game, when you next start that game you will get a little cutscene thingy of rebecca saying she has found a work around and it will take you to the appropriate area

or if you haven't got upto where those two chapters should be(12 and 13) when you do it will continue straight on
