Is there a way to learn the specifics for the merchant ships. I am using the auto-aiming feature, but I learned that I can manually change the details for the torpedo: running depth, pistol type, speed, etc and still have the game computer the gyroangle and what not.

I have taken to setting the running depth to lower than the preset when hitting the c2's and c3's which works great. but was looking for a reference to see what actual draft is. any thoughts?

many thanks!

Use the recogbition manual in the bottom lefr of the screen. It sticks out a little on the left, a brown book. Then look for the handelschiffe part, this has all the merchant ships in it. Then you can scroll through the ships and it tells you all the information you would want to know.

Although that is the long winded version, you must use the above method when using manual targeting. I believe on automatic you can just click on the SHIP button on the notepad during automatic targeting and it automatically brings up the recognition manual at the right page, with the ship that you are looking at through the optic already displayed.

Hope this is not too confusing http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

If you are using auto targetting a much easier way to check the ship description is to left click on the word ship to the right of the periscope, that way the manual will open on the correct page for that ship.
