This I think was said a thousand times, but here I am to reapeat it. AI gunnery is completely unrealistic, and the bigger the caliber of the weapon the more unrealistic it is. Just try to face 4 Bf110G2 with an wingman, in a say Hurri2b. You'll see that ALWAYS some Bf110 pulling an absurd deflection (of course pilot never see you from that angle) will shot you with just three rounds. Nevermind the impossible trajetory (ballistics) of mk108, that's not a problem for AI, but how can it shoot you every time at a huge deflection (most of the times 90 degrees!) regardless if you were always below line of sight of AI pilot and in a hard turn (~ 5g).

Here's a track, though I'm sure this happened to everyone.

Take a look how the AI plane is following me without actually seing me, in the first pic. Then with a single shot he takes me out, though of course he fired without seing me (my planes is below AI LOS). AI was set on veteran, on ace is even worse.

Is this information based on the leaked patch or the 1.0 version?

I know exactly what you mean. I've experienced the same thing. The AI never seems to miss, or misses very rarely, when firing at targets at extreme deflection angles. But, oddly enough, when the deflection angle is not as great, the AI has a hard time hitting anything. For instance, picture yourself flying your aircraft in a long, gentle turn with the AI aircraft on your tail, turning in the same direction as you, and is, at most, 200-225m away. At that angle and distance he should be able to see you through his forward windscreen. In that position, a firing solution should not be difficult to achieve and yet, the AI will fire his entire load of ammunition and not a single round will hit you. Very unrealistic indeed. Hopefully, the upcoming patch will make AI gunnery more realistic.

Best regards,
Tattered Boots.

I know that Skychimp posted a while ago that the AI didn't have recoil effects either.

1.0 version, no leaked patch.
