Could you please recommend some good board-style strategy games for PC?

And a small briefing if possible /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

What exactly do you mean with "board-style strategy games"? If you're talking about the traditional hex-grid wargame, nothing as yet beats Talonsoft's "The Operational Art of War" in the ACOW version.

For example RISKII. But I would prefer anything that has to do with WWII.

I'll check the one you proposed.
Thanks /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

If you're into strategic level games (ie. the bigger picture), you would probably be interested in Paradoxx Software's "Hearts of Iron". It's a little gem from up North.

If you are willing to depart from the WW2 setting, Medieval:Total War is a great game. Its sequel, Rome:Total War, is looking to be a real milestone in PC Gaming, and I recommend checking them out.

Board game on th PC in the WWII setting?

Why not give "Axis & Allies" a try? The last edition, Iron... something, is actually pretty good.

UBI Soft will soon launch a game called Revolution.
I think that might be a great game.

i second that fully. one of the best games ever IMO. best of both worlds. great board style turn based strategy, and bone crunching battles in real time. i would definetly recommend this game to anyone who like good startegy games. you might also want to try combat missions:barbarossa to berlin. its not exactly turn based it the traditional sence, but it is a great, in-depth game.
and GOD!! i cant wait for rome total war!!!
