Japanese planes, Normandy and Ardennes maps. Jolly good, and for free too, but the blurb on my box says:

'IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles introduces you to one of the fiercest aerial battles in World War 2. Between June 1941 and May 1945 the air forces of Germany, Hungary, Finland and USSR fought in the sky for domination!'
&
'Discover the war on the Eastern Front with the most historical combat flight simulation ever created.'

It will be interesting to see how UBI can sell that to the Japanese by introducing two planes that had nothing to do with it.

Historical Eastern Front? Not any more.
ONE of the fiercest battles? Three different theatres at least.
The Allied invasion of occupied Europe and the war in the Pacific. Forgotten? No.
Japanese Air Force and the RAF mentioned? No.
Even the date is now wrong : the Japanese surrendered to the Western Allies on 15th August 1945 but fought the Russians until September 3rd, so May doesn't fit at all.

So what shall we call it?

The Best Flight Sim Ever Made That Didn't Know What To Do Next?
IL-2:Forgotten Battles and a Few Remembered Ones?
WW2: The Air War As It Never Was?

Cheers! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Ladies & gentlemen, this is the captain speaking. Thankyou for choosing to fly Mandarin Airlines. Those passengers sitting on the left-hand side of the aeroplane please make yourselves comfortable. Those sitting on the right... please look to your left!
