As the five Spitfires flew directly over my house my camera was indoors and I missed the shot!

Oh well - what an amazing sight and sound!

Alex Henshaw himself was in one of them!

I watched it on BBC, they almost cocked it up as usual, but it was beautiful, seeing Henshaw in the cockpit you could almost feel the emotion of the event. Thank God for TV!

Fantastic. Even better if they'd have shut up and let the engines do the talking a bit more.

Favourite bit was when they were explaining how the Irish 2-seater was the only one with a combat record..."it shot down two FW190s and a Bf109.." ; cut to crowd applauding. Of course a bit sad for the Luftwaffe pilots involved, but still, excellent impromptu timing.

yeah there was only a couple of times when the engine could be heard, that was a bit disapointing, also, i wish we cuda heard Henshaw talking in the cockpit, they couldnt seem to get his voice transmitted, but i think the images spoke enough. They definately shuda shutup and let the engines/crowd do the talking!
