Heres an article from the sun

Ive seen these photos, by best friends dad Is the guy who's released them. One of them has Hitler with wagners daughters I think. Anyway thought you might be interested.

The Sun - "PHOTOGRAPHS of Adolf Hitler taken by a British man weeks before the start of the Second World War were disclosed for the first time today.

The incredible pictures were snapped by secret agent Charles Turner at a German music festival in July 1939.

Turner, like the Fuhrer, was a regular visitor to the Wagner Festival in Bayreuth and was given unprecedented access to the Nazi leader.

He was allowed to take whatever photos he liked because Hitler thought he was no more than a fellow music lover and had no idea he was a spy from Nottinghamshire.

Mr Turner's son, David, 64, has now made the photos public for the first time.

He said: "My father regarded these photos as an extraordinary souvenir of a remarkable and fortuitous event.

"They are very, very important to me and my family and for all this period of time - my father died in 1977 - I have regarded the possession of these photos as an intimate family matter.

"My father never spoke to me about it."

The photos include images of the leader getting out of his car, in a relaxed conversation with a fellow Nazi and collecting flowers from children at the festival.

They were taken on July 26 1939, little more than a month before Hitler ordered the invasion of Poland. The Fuhrer was plotting his campaign as he met briefly with Mr Turner in the small German town.

After his meeting with Hitler and members of the Third Reich - including Joseph Goebbels and Rudolf Hess - Charles Turner sent a detailed report back to London.

But the details of this report have never been revealed. The Home Office have said the document is still classified and may never be made public.

gOOD POST

Im facsinated by hitler and the phychology that played a role in allowing this guy to do what he did and how he incited a mob to stand behinde him by promisses of riches of conquered lands. Hitler did not act alone. hitler had a human side and what is most scary about it is that:

If hitler had a human side and could commit the atrocities he did, then others could do the same given the same elements of anger and feeling of being treated unfair. It is fascinating; and for this guy to be accussed of a fascinated support of what hitler did is quite ignorant and simple minded and assinine. The poster is only posting a news event.

You should show maturity and rise above the rabble, as they'll taunt you every step of the way. When you do this, then and only then, are you fit to sit in the c.o.c.kpit of IL2.

I think that's what "Den Untergang" such a strong film, in that it portrayed Hitler as a human, as "one of us".

It's too easy too demonise Hitler and thereby kid ourselves that a repition is impossible, because Hitler was "different".

He wasn't, he was just a man, and it's important to remember that, to remember that humans like you and I can blindly follow another human into inhumanity.

Only a Generation later the same things were happening in Yugoslavia, and some people are still sheltering fugitives there.

Sad.

100% correct DmdSeeker. IMHO hitler simply incited a mob and preyed on their hardships and desperation for wealth and to end what I think was an era depression after WWI.

I find Hitler fascinating. I find dictators in general fascinating.

And yet... I hate everything Hitler stood for, and I find neo-Nazis, holocaust deniers, and fascists in general to be even stupider and more offensive than religious fanatics. Who I also despise.

(NOTE: Not disparaging religious people, only fanatics.)

Hitler wasn't a cardboard cut-out figure of evil, he was a man. He was, in many ways, just like you and me. I think it's very important to keep that in focus, because depersonalisation (seeing opponents as "other than human") is one of the major strategies of fascists, racists, fanatics, and other assorted dingbats.

It fascinates me that Hitler was a man, much like you or me, and yet he could believe what he did, and could do what he did, and he could convince the great majority of the population of a country of highly intelligent and cultured people to do what they did.

I want to understand how and why that happened, why Hitler and the Nazis were able to achieve what they did, and I'll never grasp it if I dismiss Hitler and the Nazis as some kind of evil zombies.

Hitler had gifts, in many ways he was brilliant, and he was an undeniably fascinating person. But it should be obvious that fascination does not necessarily = admiration. I admire Ghandi, but I find Hitler more interesting to observe.

I'll say it one more time so we're perfectly clear about it: neo-Nazis, Nazi apologists, Holocaust deniers and their ilk are disgusting, deluded, and creepy as it gets, and I have no sympathy at all for such idiots. But I know they're human too, and they are also an interesting example of how and why a person can become creepy, deluded, and disgusting.

You can learn from observing such people, too. And a negative lesson - an example of what NOT to do - is as valuable as a positive one.
