View Full Version : Patch Sound Problems

I just downloaded the patch. I was very pleased with the changes. However, within a few minutes of playing I encountered my first problem. The sound changed from quiet, to loud and then back to quiet, whilst in the external view. I turned the volume up, only to hear the game on full volume all of a sudden. I also noticed that, whilst playing the QMB in Crimea, testing out the Me262, I turned the engines off and heard the massive boom of guns and the splashing of water as if I was standing next to the guns, despite being quite a long way away from the coast. Oh well. I absolutely love the way that flying at low altitudes creates a wake whilst over water, and the sniper AAA is no longer a problem. Thanks for the patch Oleg and the 1C Maddox team!

For some reason the game settings changed. I'm now playing the game on the SBLive! settings and it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. However, I can still hear the splashing water from miles away!

Yep .. same here .. thing is THEY SHOULD KNOW OF THIS .. IT HAPPENED IN BETA 8 AND THEY WERE TOLD but did they listen ? did they hell as like ... and engine start ups are screwed as in BETA 8 ...

The sound was the one thing that was supposed to be totally reworked ... just so unbelievable http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

this happened to me too. QMB, Lagg-3 against armor column.

Sound was all messed up, like I could hear the gun well enough, but the engine was real quite. It switched as I was tranisioning from wide view, normal view, and gunsight view. Once the sound came back to normal I didn't lose it again for the whole fight.

Same thing happened here. I have not even started tweaking yet so it is more likly something that can be rectified with the proper and merciless application of hammer blows/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yep I still seem to have a problem with the sound inside the plane, but its not as bad.

Oleg this is unacceptable.
I have not experinced these problems as I just tried to download the patch, I got one hour fifty minutes into it then it stopped and said I was timed out!! what the hell is going on here?

Just set up a loud fan to sim the engine sound, or open computer case (Nvidia cards work very well as engine sound cards).

Granted, but did they bother to even test it themselves?? it would of taken them all of an hour to test, but no they clearly didnt bother! well im not falling into that trap, I wont be a ginnie pig.

I have actually figured out the settings and the sound does seem to work now, judging from the last time I played.
