to add variety to renovateing new buildings we should be given an incentive to build certain buildings to keep the people happy so that they continue to support assassins and oppose templars

templars are effectively ruling the city so when we kill them we are effectivly leaving the city without a government/set of laws

we should build buildings to keep people employed and happy. so we build shops for people to work in and make money, we build theatres and public baths to entertain the people and keep them healthy/prevent things like plague. also build administrative/government buildings to run the districcts of the city not rule them

if we dont renovate/construct new buildings, the city may have riots in which buildings are damaged and people can be killed which will cost money to repair

we should also have a variety of guilds other than assassins guilds or the guilds of the hireable factions for example:

merchants guilds-increased wealth
explorers guilds-establish relations/trade with distant lands
alchemists guilds-research new technologies eg gunpowder
pysicians/doctors guilds-increases public health
theologians guilds-centre for philosophers
masons guilds-better quality buildings built
military academy-gives city better defences/reduces crime due to increased guards approved by the assassins
blacksmiths guilds-improves quality of weapons/armour acquired
artists guilds-improves cultural heritage of the city

this way we restore and build the city into a bustling happy place to be a massive contrast to the dark, crumbling city that it would be with templars in place

And yet another thread by Crash...
At least this idea is pretty good but I am unsure how it would be implemented in a good way.

ezio could receive correspondents from allies/spies/assassins within the city reporting on the mood of the people and what they advise that we do to make them happier for example

Report: large number of people homeless/unemployed in ....District
advise that you pay the masons guild to build more housing and shops in the district

So you've basically played Rome: Total War and thought it would be a good idea to take those buildings and have them put into AC.
Orriginal...

Wouldn't work. Would work in terms of support from the populace, but too many buildings there/too much to do to fit in game

This is a bit off topic, but i think we should return to renovating to how it was in the second ac, it was a lot simpler and you had a lot more incentive to build the buildings since it was your home, the people improved and you got discounts at the shops. In brotherhood it was just on to larger a scale and when you did help people it didn't feel personal or like you were making any real difference

i must admit, in one of the dev diaries, they said that rome would become more colourful with more merchants and less beggars. all that i saw different was the music playing as a district was either occupied or liberated

social interaction needs to b improved vastly, afterall the assassins are for the people
