Are there black bars at the top and bottom of the game while playing? Certain games like Forza 2, NBA 2K8 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance have black bars for some weak reason and I'm hoping this is not the case with AC. Can anyone who owns the game and has played it on either a CRT or an LCD computer monitor give me the 411?

Refresh settings? Uhh, what are you talking about?? I'm talking about the black bars that show up during certain WS movies..... some games have black bars at the top and bottom like NBA 2k8, Forza 2, Marvel UA and so on....

That wouldn't affect something that's part of the game's design. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

And the black bars are there to give the game a more cinematic feel. Can't tell you if they're there in AC or not. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Oh so no matter what HDTV you have, the black bars are there in those games then?? I thought it was just my LCD monitor and CRT.

I believe so. It's been a while since I've played a game with that feature on my computer monitor.

Yeah, it's so annoying. I have no idea why they have black bars in the first place. Makes no sense and I hope AC doesn't feature them or else I'll go insane!

The so called black bars are from wide screen mode. This is for wide screen tv's so if u don't want them you can turn them off and u'll most likely get the sides copped off by expanding the vertical axis until it edges your screen.

I dont get it...are you playing on a widescreen display? If not it sounds like the widescreen settings are turned on in the games, try checking the options and see if that works.
