This link was already posted in another thread, but to reiterate: there is a contest on Ujam where they're looking for someone to perform the vocals for the new theme song of ACR.

http://www.ujam.com/contests/a...lations/introduction (http://www.ujam.com/contests/acrevelations/introduction)

My question is, can anyone out there record the theme song from the site and upload it as an MP3 somewhere? I don't know how to do that and I really want the instrumental version of the song because I already like it.

I love the example piece more than any of the submitted ones. The example is amazing.

I hope i won't get banned or anything for this lol. Although i doubt Ubisoft would really mind considering it's just entries to a contest and stuff like that.

Example (http://www.mediafire.com/?34knj5goig6rsre)
Maura O'Connor (http://www.mediafire.com/?x62wwss1arua70v) (Current Number 1)
Madeline (http://www.mediafire.com/?51glgqumflrwfju) (Current number 2)

edit: Changed links to Mediafire.

Sorry about that. Had some issues with the submitted ones for a moment there then decided to just upload them properly to Mediafire.

Anyway they should work now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.

I wonder what that example is being used for. It must be being used for something, why else would they not just use that?

Wait. Hold the presses, this just in, Maura O'Connor's is wonderful.

Haven't listened to the rest yet though.

Yea Maura got my vote hands so far down. It was an absolute pleasure listening to her. If she does not win it will truly have been a disservice to mankind.

I mostly liked Amber Dewey's version and I can't understand why it doesn't have more votes, maybe it's too new but it sounds the most professional.

And there were some funny ones at the end, with toilet noises etc

Well from what i understand of the contest is that it encourages them to get votes from facebook: In essence it means the most popular person is likely to have the most votes.

Fortunately though i believe it says that they will take the top 20 and then have the actual judges decide. So basically anybody who is really good only has to make the top 20 and they should be in for an equal chance of winning.

She's better than the others but I still like the example a lot more.

Thanks a lot for the MP3!

My favorite of the ones I've heard so far is Madeline. Maura was good too, but she seemed to have some trouble hitting the high notes.

You're right Madeline is better. She got my vote. I wish I could vote on the example lol but I guess that would defeat the purpose.

I loved Madeline's.

I haven't listened to the example because I just assumed it would be bad. >.<

It's not. It's amazing. I think Madeline's is the only thing close to it.

LOL Nick Chester made me laugh so hard. Kind of creepy for a couple of seconds though.

*crying* Me: Why is Subject 16 singing most likely his own theme song?

Yea Madeline's sound very good and like something straight out of Gladiator but I still like Maura's better. There are no words to explain how it makes me feel listening to her version. Oh and it doesn't really matter whose sounds more professional now as whoever wins will be getting it professionally recorded.

Everybody who voted for him is an idiot. Because of him somebody who is serious and passionate will not be in top 20 for next round. For me Top two girls are amazing but Example song is perfect. I can listen it whole day http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Assassin's Creed Revelations is no joke to Ubisoft. I imagine when it comes down to it they will simply ignore those that are not serious entries regardless of the votes.

I will have to take a listen to some of these. The example was quite beautiful and haunting, too. As for where the example piece is used, I'm pretty sure I've heard it in the Revelations multiplayer beta--maybe on the menu screen?

The theme (a more bombastic, orchestral version) shows up right at the end of the E3 demo (after Ezio lands on the ship and the camera pans out to show the burning harbor) and it's also used at the end of matches in the ACR multiplayer.

That is honestly the most epic scene in an AC game that I've seen btw.

It doesn't come with a memorable quote, but man, the whole sequence was awesome and ends on an epic song w/ a pan out of Constantinople. UbiSoft sure knows how to introduce the AC games: Epic music, cue awesome scene, zoom out, awesome view of city + scene, and put in the title of the game.

Yeah, I remember it at the end of the matches. I'm sure I've heard catches of it on the menu screen before you select the multiplayer, though. It's very faint. And I didn't know it was in the E3 demo--I'll have to watch again (not that I needed another excuse!).

Also, I don't think the scene from the harbor is actually the start of the game--I remember reading that that particular scene takes place about halfway through. They just put the title in to let people know what the game was. But I agree that Ubi does know how to introduce Assassin's Creed!

Oh, I know that it wasn't the start of the game. But I'm just saying that it was set-up like it was the start of a game.
