Just completed the 3rd mission of the hurricane season campaign, during which my hurricane got engine damage but I managed to land safely with 2 kills. I saved the track and watched it, only to find that my plane crashed into the hill near my base. Now, either I and my son who was watching me, shared a hallucination, or some seriously weird stuff is going on! I've watched the track several times and I crash each time! But I definitely landed safely back at base, honest! Has this sort of thing ever happened to anyone else? Or should I call the doctor?

Hey man when you save the game after completing the mission it will sometimes do this due to lag and CPU processes and stuff messing with the recording. It's called a TRK.

However set a key in controls to record as a mission is going on and this wont happen, you will get exact record of the mission. These are called NTRK's.

Try it out.

thanks Danjama you've saved me a trip to the psychiatrist, and explained the difference between a trk and a ntrk. i'll take your advice and set a key to record as I go.
see you online sometime!

TRK's are unreliable.
It can spoil your day... when you record a perfect sortie only to find out that it is unplayable afterwards http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif . You cannot even convert it to NTRK. Furthermore, even fine TRK you can't re-record in NTRK format becuase somehow when you press record button during track re-play it all goes to hell http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif.

But yes, in some cases it happens to be good... but as dan suggested I wouldn't really take that chances. Go for NTRK.
