Hello everyone! I just picked up this game, tried the multiplayer, and was hooked. (minus spending about a day making it work...apparently the newer Linksys routers don't support manual configuration of uPnP in Windows 7) I'm surprised that this amazing multiplayer isn't more popular. I have a few questions, though, that searching the forums don't appear to have turned up the answers to.

First off, is it possible to host a LAN game connected to the wider internet? I can run private games, but if I have a few buds over, everybody in my LAN gets kicked the moment anyone else joins. Private games work just fine, but that's less fun (especially as I'm a low level). Seems like a very strange problem that only occurs with this game. Whoever set up the configuration for multiplayer on the PC must've been attempting to find the ballmer peak (http://xkcd.com/323/).

Secondly, as a complete newb (I'm lucky to hit 4k+ score in a game), should I join a clan? The only one I saw to have a PC wing was the Outcast Templars.

Oh, really? I'll have to look into it. How serious are you guys? So far, I would have to describe my skill as lacking, but I'm working on improvement. Are you accepting of that, or should I run with randoms until I get better?

At the moment, we're recruiting just for people to play with. There aren't a large number of PC players in our clan, but they're friendly, fun and ,I'm sure, most will certainly help you improve your play if you wish. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Also...
Is there voice or chat in this game? I've heard that the keybind to press for voice on the PC is G, but it doesn't seem to work.

Edit: Oh dear, I seem to have left my PC afk ingame...I'm sorry for the lack of challenge killing me.

I really wish you could customize or access the menu while in matchmaking...it's what I'm in the majority of the time.

LAN problem is because it is peer to peer based. Two people with the same IP will cause it to have a ****fit. No solution unless Ubisoft decide to add that feature to Revelations.

Game does have voice chat built in, not sure what the keyboard bind is as I use a controller. It's not very good though; we use Vent instead. Also is has no chat and a horrific messaging system.

Outcast Templars also accept newer players, with the aim to help them improve. We don't offer any kind of formal 'training' (yet), but you'll get to play with some damn good players (and some other newer players) on a regular basis. If you're interested.
