No PM (personal message)
I have not yet found the "Edit" button...
AND i had to re'register to make things work!! (my original name is I16fan)

The edit button is the folder with the eraser on the lower right corner...... and as far as the old forums go... you obviously werent there too long...youm mean you never got one of the dozens of Microsoft OLE blah blah blah messages when trying to load pages? Oh and PMs are now private topics.....

While not everyone had problems with the old system, the majority (including moderators and admins) suffered frequent page load errors and other error messages. The software was just not up to handling the size of the database or volume of traffic on these boards.

While not everyone has experienced an improvement, the majority have found the new software to be vastly more stable and in general are also finding it to be faster (and yes, I know there are exceptions, but they seem to be few).

To send a personal message, first add the intended recipient to your contact list, then use the "Private Topic" feature to start a thread that only you and the recipient (and admins) can see. Admin wont bother looking unless they receive a complaint, but the terms of use apply in Private Topics the same as in the public areas.

As indicated above, the "folder with eraser" in the lower right corner of your posts is the edit button.

I'll look at your account when I can and see if I can work out what's not working right. Can you tell me what (if any) messages you're receiving when you try to post or logon with your old account?

I miss PM. It was so easy to flame a--hats. And I was told from an old-time Mod you could say anything

Everyone's saying the search works now. That alone is worth the price of the initial headache of new forums. I for one like the new system!

The I16Fan account should now be working as advertised..... let me know if you're still having problems.

It's better than the software previously used but still both VB and PHPBB are far superior.
