Here is the world's first look of the front cover image of IAP's book (hardback and paperback) on the technique and history of air fighting for flight simulators.

It includes over 600 images and diagrams explaining how to execute various tactics as well as top advice from gaming experts to improve combat skills. Also detailed are strategic diagrams using state of the art digital illustration techniques and diagrams showing actual moves and joystick methods.

The author is J. Steve Thompson, author of Check Six.

The consultant is Major Lawrence J. Spinetta, a Top Gun pilot of the USAF.

The publication date shall be November 2008 at 256pp, 282 x 213mm.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. More information to come.

I shall be providing the technical chapter: on what equipment to use, software necessary, how to join squads, etc.

To conclude, an essential book for the intermediate and advanced simmer wanting to improve their flying skills (including ground attack) as well as the equipment needed to enhance their flying as well as getting to grips with the online community.

Hi Trinity_Jay,

Is this the book that someone (yourself?) started a 'Give it a Title' competition here a while ago???

It looks like it might be an essential purchase!

Do you have anymore details - f.e. where it will be available to buy (US only)?

Any chance of a peek at a 'sample page'?

Thanks

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind words.

The "first looks" will be coming shortly as the book is currently being worked on. Yes, this was the project where I asked the community to put heads together and think of a suitable title. And yes, it shall be available for all.
