thats not the latest version or even the version before, its for pf 3.02. You can get it at least up to 4.07 now. i dont know where you can get the latest version from anymore, Pingu kindly hosted it for me to download sometime ago, cause i couldnt get it from rapidshare, because rapidshare was being a ****.

cheers fruitbat

IL2Compare is cool...but Hardball's AC viewer is better IMO.

Well IMHO IL2Compare is the best, simply because its data comes directly out of the game (according to Youss its data is 99% correct) whereas for example in Hardballs Viewer you get good general data which however might not have much relation to the real ingame situation.

Hardball's is great if you want some general information but not good for when you want to look at hard performance curves. For the average guy who doesn't know much about the subject, hardball's is great because it has armament info, relative performance comparisons, and so forth. But no hard performance curves.

Il2 Compare is the program you need.

On the other hand, why believe me. Download and run Il2 Compare and Hardballs Viewer and use them both.

I've used Il2-Compare since it's inception, to look at aircraft match-up's that I don't already have memorized.

It's part of my pre-flight, particularly when dealing with aircraft match-ups that I don't have as much experience in.

I also download every copy of Hardball's viewer, whenever it's updated. It contains useful information in it's own right.

Why start a contentious thread when you can check them out for yourself?

Exactly as is shown in the picture. You select one plane (blue) against another (red) and then compare their performance graphs. HTH http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The info was largely outdated for 4.071m, we really need an update for 4.08.

yea but i mean the graph. how do you read that?
its turning performance? but exaktly how it works?

Turn performance is given for sustained turns at constant speed and altitude in seconds, so the lower the time is the smaller the radius and the higher your turnrate, that means at the speed where the turn curve reaches a minimum lies your best turn speed, easy as that...
