After Red Orchestra (the UT 2000 mod) i deleted BF 1942 off the HD and have not played it since. RO is the most realistic FPS i have ever seen, if you like FPS check it out. The only BF mod i would consider is that XWW2 mod but it is not available.

Nah,Forgotten Hope is darn good mod,as Battlegroup 42 and Excperience WW2(I think a new version is around the corner).I like Red Orchestra too, more realistic but that dosen´t mean FH can´t be fun.Got a Wellington at El Alamein now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Texas,

Does the Red Orchestra mod have offline missions or it just for online?

Im not a real big fan of bf1942 at all really, and dont play them much anymore but FH .66 has been a long time in the waiting. Its also much better then bf1942 i wouldnt exactly call it a realism mod not even close but the vechiles maps and weapon models are made excellent. Thats about it. Its just an eyecandy 3d shooter for germans made by germans. Its fun for awhile after playing all the maps a few times the games done.

I had red orchestra deleted it off my system weapons were the only thing alright everything else looked like trash. Especially when you shoot someone and they popup and float in the air glitch is just horable. Same with troop movement its garbage, i think the UT game engine stinks and made for space age lazers trampolin flying all over the place like quake3 maybe something similiar will come along for the HL2 engine that will be good.

Even have vechicles now, tanks, lorrys, and a nice anti tank rifle.
You can play RO offline as BF1942 against boots, but it´s more like training,as they´re not that smart.

Yes Red Orchestra is very good now. I highly suggest looking at the movie trailers to see how far it's come along.
