I did do a search and found a number of threads but not what I was looking for. Your link may be more inline to my needs but will require more reading to find a result so I will use this Poll thread to see what results I get.

Thank You for the Link though. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I can't say which ones I prefer since I only have CH pedals.

I do prefer the CH pedals to car gaming pedals. I tried those before I got the CH and I just couldn't get my feet used to them.

I did just the opposite, I used CH pedals, before they died, in racing simulations. They worked OK but not as good as a full FF Wheel.

Thanks for your vote though. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I think he wants to get specific feedback on these specific pedals.... Hence the topic of the thread no? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Anyway.. I have both.. I prefer the Saiteks to the CH pedals.. The Saiteks have a wider stance, a smoother, longer throw adjustable foot rests and adjustable tension.

Thank You, that is what I am looking for before I spend my meager funds on Pedals. Good info on why you like the Saiteks. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I tried rudder pedals -ok so they are more 'realistic' (so is having all the windows open in the room in midWinter and flying at minus 40 degrees or lower or even blowing your brains out after you are 'killed' ingame)but I hated them .So unless you want to put your game 'skillz' back 6 months to a year and get cramps in your legs I would think carefully

The topic of the thread is 'Rudder Pedals??' and there is only a poll - 'which do you prefer?: Saitek.../CH...'

Therefore NO specific feedback has been asked for. The thread i linked to has plenty of info on both pedals and people's opinions with regards to comparison (including your own)! No? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

can we not have one thread around here without someone getting there underwear in a wad.

Anyways as for rudder pedals i Use saiteks I love em just wide enough for the feet and the tension can be adjusted

and they can be programmed for racing sims as well

I've used both. While I have no problem with CH and liked them quite well, I'd have to go with the Saitek for the same reasons BC gave. The wider stance is more similiar to a real aircraft.

I used saiteks but I think that best pedals are Simpeds even if more expensive than saiteks. There's no match in smoothness of movement.
I have one pair of the original varios bought in 1999. They are still working flawlessly.
Only limited in availability.

My Saitek pedals lasted 6 months before falling apart. My CH pedals are going on 5 years! The CH pedals are my vote for the quality. The Saiteks looks and feel a bit nicer but don't hold up IMO.

I have CH Pedals gotta be at least 5 years old, out lasted my HOTAS Rigs (x36 2yrs, Cougar 3yrs).

Saitek gear works well and the programming software is fine, but it is not durable enough. The only reason I got the x52 is it was cheap and adequate, but my next serious HOTAS will be CH.

So my final answer: go with CH gear (though as mentioned I've heard a lot of good things about simpeds)

Found a simped link: http://home.arcor.de/p.madel/simped/simp001.htm

My CH pedals are several years old now. I keep waiting for them to die so I can justify buying a set of Saiteks (the wider stance is appealing for me, being a big fella), but the stubborn things just refuse to kick the bucket.

I've always been a little unhappy with the CH pedals. They don't feel quite as smooth in their motion as I'd want (suppose they prolly need a cleaning, too), and there seems to be some "jiggle" around the center position. Still, you gotta give credit for the durability.

Yeah I have learned to live with the narrow stance of the CH pedals.

Also it is a pain to disassemble/reassemble them for cleaning/lubing, as the springs attached to the posts for the screws pop out of place easily, and the rails for the pedals are hard to keep aligned.

Simpeds. Perhaps I'm not the person to answer this because I have only owned one set of (flying) pedals, but these have served me well since 2002 and they are still working perfectly without any maintenance or problems.

The durability of CH gear is awesome. You could investigate a modification to the pedal footrests which will widen the stance. But I'm pretty sure you would have to do this yourself, unless the originator has a "kit" available. A few months back I saw this somewhere here, but am too lazy to do a search. (Could be in the topic related to home-made sim stuff.
