Hello everybody, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good software program for designing 3D machines/mechanics. Like a virtual Meccano? I have designed an extracting/retracting, locking, telescoping hidden blade which I'd like to see operate without paying loads for materials.
I also have a Sweeney Todd chair to create, but that's another story http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Thanks

I'd Reccomend Either Cinema 4D or zbrush if your going for 3d, i know the basics of Cinema 4D, downloaded zbrush the other day, just messed about on that, but i reckon theyre easy to use once you know what your doing, ive been using photoshop since ive been about 12 and im still learning new techniques and skills.. anyway, theyre the only two programmes that come to my mind for 3d modelling http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif enjoy

I believe Ubisoft and a lot of companies use Autodesk for a lot of stuff. It looks amazing from what I've seen of it.
